Wow…. What an unbelievable episode. I think we must thank Keith for all his honesty. I work within a stressful pressurised industry and although nowhere near Keith’s money I earn ok. I have had big and continual struggles myself and this has helped me personally realise that I must also make changes. Keith take a bow for being so honest and continue to stay strong

Love this lads. You’re laughing your bollocks off one minute and trying to empathise with someone who has really struggled the next. The balance is superb. Right up there this one 👍🏻 you give opportunities to those that have struggled to hopefully help others struggling. Nothing is unbeatable, well done Keith Treacy

He joined Sheff United on loan in 2009 and immediately he stood out as a really talented winger, he even scored a brilliant long ranger in an early home game which helped him become popular with our fans. We thought we'd been lucky and brought in a top player, he only played a few matches for us (playing really well) then seemed to disappear from the 1st team and quickly left. A few years later he joined Sheff Wednesday on loan in league 1. My brother supports them and I told him they've got a top player. In early matches he told me he stands out and looks far too good for league 1. He only played a few matches for them too playing well but was sent back. Didn't realise he had off the field issues. Makes sense now.

Really enjoyed that, I loved playing football as a young lad but never got anywhere for at the time it was everyone else's fault, manager's, parent's, teammates etc etc.. But now at 42 I understand that for a lot of people no matter how much they love playing football or how good they are at it , its the in-between that is the problem. Fair play to Keith for coming through the real side of his personal journey which in the end the football comes a pale second to the real gifts of life . Even G Best in his autobiography blamed the poor teams he was playing in for his lack of interest in football and his love for drink and women. You either have it or you don't and I don't mean the skill 🤪🙌🙏 To some football is enough to motivate them and keep them ticking over in life to others it's a matter of life and death and to the people who understand both sides of the story it's much more important than that. 🙌🙏 check out Jamie's new Album that's the real deal. GB you Keith .

I remember we (burnley) played Preston at the Turf, first season of relegation with Brian Laws as gaffa and they battered us, Treacy ran riot but we won 4-3. We had a chap around then on the board, who liked certain players (Brendan Flood, he bought us Eagles) and that sold him on Treacy. He clearly had talent but COULD not run at all. He had to chip the ball up the line for a front man to run onto, he genuinely didn't have the pace or fitness to beat a man. It was also common knowledge with fans he had a major drink issue and it sadly fizzled out. He did certainly have talent though, he is being modest when discussing Preston.

Obviously he had major problems but still surprising that there was almost no football at all in the whole conversation, probably a good metaphor for where football was on his priorities at the time of his career...But still found it a bit strange he seemingly had no desire to discuss the football side at any point tbh....Good luck to him moving forwards though.
