Addiction is so hard. You can’t just stop. I had a wonderful childhood, my addiction started when I was 28… I know I was a late bloomer I suppose. But, I’m so glad he got help and she stayed with him until he got better! Sending love and hope for all addicts out there, you CAN DO IT!❤

I loved it when an interviewer asked Keith what the secret of a good marriage is, and he talked about working at it every day, he said “I’m still trying to get her to go out with me!” After all those years, that’s so amazing! It's hard to publically share your testimony in such a way that it goes global, but you are an inspiration to all those that are struggling with the same addictions that you had. It just shows that until you accept you have an addiction and also the love of someone who will support you, there is nothing anyone can do for you. Well done Keith!!

WOW!! I have always admired him and choosing to break into Country Music 🎶...Which, I'm sure was tough!! I bought his CD after the very first time I heard his song on the radio!! I wasn't a country fan at all..just happened to hear it riding somewhere with my sister....Then was delightfully surprised by how handsome and original he was for that type of music 🎶...Smitten total fan!! Then when I read a story about him and his life, issues, etc...Way back in the day...Then married to Nichol Kidman!! WOW!! I admired how he handled his life and I always liked her...but she always had "sad eyes"...Corny, I know...I was always pulling for her to find a great guy!! His songs fast, slow, happy, fun, or sad...seemed to always have a lonely vibe.. a very beautiful broken soul...I know, Corny again!!! I guess when you are one too...you pick up on it..?? This is amazing! I love you both and together. I was not addicted to substances but more like addicted to finding anyone who would pay me attention and had many partners. I was blessed to not have any diseases from that time. At 50, I found the "one" that saved me. Love stories can happen and do.❤

I escaped a cult. It destroyed much of my life. Endless trsuma. Born and raised... brainwashed. Will be 80 next year. I am strong now, and wisdom has come. At long last. As Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." Yes. The truth is so rare, and it does set you free. Nicole is good. She is protected by Spirit. Bless her and Keith. And all the world, with truth and peace.

@@msheartface5288 Thank you. You have no idea how much I need your blessing I'm old now, and possibly not long for this world.... a comfort, in a wsy, but there's much I would like yet to do. I'm a writer and artist, living in poverty, all my life, soon to be 80. I'm in this spot now...not for lack of talent, but from lifelong trauma, brainwashing and poverty. I'm just very tired now. Seems I'm trapped. I wish it was not so. Just very tired. Faith is flagging.

Wow! What an amazing power couple. I am so grateful that Nicole found her soulmate. For Keith to be brave enough to share such a vulnerable moment of his life with the public is an inspiration to all those who struggle with addiction due to lack of nurturing love. Genuine love truly can heal everything if you allow it in.

Honesty is the way to start healing. Facing your biggest fears, even if you think your going to be judged for your decisions that you make, even if that decision will break yours and someone elses heart, but knowing deep down that its the right decision for everyone involved, thats something. Someone will always be there to pick up the pieces. In this case I am glad you guys are stronger than ever. I am hoping that in the long run it will work out for the best in my situation. Thank you for sharing your story Keith and Nichole.

The Urban/ Kidmans have been honest about that. Nic's Dad was a leading psychologist & the whole family seems to understand the role of honesty in times of difficulty. Certainly Australians who were interested and who could read all knew.

As a recovering addict, I know all to well how important a partner like Nicole is!! I didn't have that, so I kept struggling, coz I had nobody cheering me on, going through it with me and stick around when it's not going that well. Ofcause you have to do it yourself and want to get clean, but without somone being there for you, who truly loves you, support you, you're just going to fall back into the negative mindset that caused the addiction in the first place. I didn't even use hard drugs for that long, but got addicted to the methadone and downers, my mom used to take and who I stole it from when I was around 14, 15. Instinctively I knew why she took those pills, but she had 3 a day of 10 MG, I have 4 of 50 mg, but the addiction is the same. I'm now trying again, hoping it will stick this time, I do have some family left, esp my sister, so I hope I'll succeed this time. I do have more professional help this time, so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I respect Keith Urban no matter what he's gone through. He's just such an amazing man in so many ways and I am so glad Nicole seen how amazing he is. Telling his story I hope gives others confidence to kick their addictions and say to themselves. If Keith can do it, so can I.. Love them both Keith and Nicole. Wish them both all the best in years to come.

Keith has always been my favorite country artist since I first heard of him in music. I was so praying for happiness for him when he met Nicole Kidman. Im happy for them both to finally have the joyous strong marriage & beautuful children they longed for. God Bless them always.
