The thing I don’t get is I always closed my eyes and I was in love with my sweet husband until he passed away too soon. It’s been a year and I realize I will die a widow because no one could ever fill his shoes. I live with such wonderful memories of our 57 years together. It comforts my heart to know, he will always be near watching over me. Of course it’s impossible to know until you make your journey there, but if it’s possible I know my sweet Sammy is watching over and praying for me🙏

Your comment is the opitomy of this song. I think this is the key difference between men and women. I'm sure the majority of men will agree with me, at least anonymously anyway. This song makes me cry each time. Reminds of what was and what might've been. My boyfriend died. Maybe its was too soon but someone gave me roses and told listen to the song Don't Cry Your Eyes. Foolish I didn't I was mouring my boyfriend death. Years later I heard the song. Then I knew what he was trying g to tell me. Maybe if he hadn't given up... I would've open my eyes to him. Now forty years later I wonder what it or what did I lose. I sincerely regret. It might've been?????
