EXPLORE THE WORLD
Featuring a unique steampunk aesthetic, Firmament invites you to explore the legendary deep world-building Cyan Worlds is known for. Firmament is a fantastic visual feast, with thrilling new sights to see around every corner. At the same time, the world of Firmament feels completely plausible; as though it were constructed with a bigger purpose in mind… A purpose you will be compelled to discover as you play.
SOLVE THE PUZZLES
You carry with you a device called an “Adjunct” as you explore. This Adjunct is your interface as you interact with the various devices throughout the Realms of Firmament. Employing the Adjunct to solve the puzzles you encounter will bring you ever closer to unlocking the secrets this place holds.
DISCOVER THE STORY
You are not entirely alone in Firmament. In addition to The Adjunct, you are joined by a mysterious apparition, who has a story of her own to share with you. As you explore you will be introduced to 3 Realms - each with secrets and mysteries to reveal. What purpose do the Realms serve? Can the spirit who accompanies you be trusted?
REVEAL THE MYSTERY
Are the realms of Firmament abandoned? What are these giant, mysterious machines scattered throughout the world? What is their purpose? What part do you play in this grand mystery? Explore, Discover, Solve, and Reveal the mystery for yourself by playing Firmament!
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Built For Both VR and 2D Displays
Firmament supports both 2D and VR play. The VR experience of Firmament includes both Free Roam and Teleport modes, and supports Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Rift S, and Quest 2 via Oculus Link.
Additionally, Firmament includes many “comfort level” features for both new and experienced VR users, including the option to enable smooth or snap turning, quick travel up stairs and ladders, vertical height quantization, and more!

Did you notice the drag marks in The Swan from the awake threshold to the transport to where you started from?

There's a pretty bad bug that a lot of people are getting (you included), where the girl stops talking to you after the beginning. She is supposed to talk a lot more to you, in The Swan area for example. The devs are working on fixing it.

he also got a pretty critical bug in the acid making area where it bugged out rendering it impossible that zone objective.

Excellent game so far. It's basically "Obduction 2", where they upgraded the visuals, storyline, and learned NOT to make puzzles that rely on the loading areas. It was fun to watch this live, I wonder if Keith knew that Jon Blow was streaming Firmament at the exact same time on Twitch. It was funny because Jon unknowingly was solving the puzzles/areas in virtually the exact same order as Keith was, but about 30 minutes behind. I ended up having both streams going at the same time while finishing up one of my projects at home. Look forward to the next video.

I started watching someone else's playthrough a couple of days ago. But I have to say, Keith, that you are the best. You're thorough. You don't dash through the game but take the time to consider everything. You've already sussed the bridge puzzle by looking at the environment. The other player just dashed willy nilly to the first puzzle, and didn't look around! Safe to say I'll be watching your playthrough from now on.

Keith Ballard and Sven Groot (@Dilandau3000) are comparably matched when it comes to playing and narrating Cyan Worlds games. Sven's "Let's Play" just dropped on KZfaq a month ago.

I can't wait to watch your playthroughs, but I have to wait for the ps5 version. Ofcourse I want to play it first myself. I always like to see your playthroughs of puzzle games after I played them. Sometimes I feel smart and sometimes I feel dumb. Either way it is always fun to see you figure it out and take the time to read into the lore and make speculations. Thanks!

I'm FINALLY starting to watch this, as I finally had time to play it and get through most of the game. Look forward to seeing your puzzling and hearing your thoughts. I found you through The Witness, and I loved watching you do Obduction and the Myst series, so games like this are always a treat I look forward to.

You know what? This is not really Myst or Obduction, this is SOMA!!! The Adjunct is the Omnitool... Your ghostly virtual mentor who shows you the ropes has exactly the same role as Catherine and kinda looks the same (same hairstyle at the very least)... There's nothing wrong with that TBH, more games should FEEL like SOMA and with such a legendary team behind it it'll probably be amazing. "good artists copy; great artists steal" - a quote from me! (I stole from Picasso, now it's mine lol)

Ive read from multiple reviewers that the puzzles werent difficult enough. Cyan needs to not drop the difficulty to appease the masses. Cyan diehard fans want extrmely hard to solve puzzles

It's the first Cyan game I ever completed without needing to look up at least one or two hints. Kind of disappointing. Most of the 'puzzles' were more just tedious tasks than puzzles.

@@nodak81 agreed. I think they handcuffed themselves by making sure all of the puzzles had a practical function. It felt a lot like doing maintenance work rather than solving otherworldly puzzles
