yeah but there's definately futuristic elements to her music all of her past songs included. She's not simply trying to rehash the 90s she's bringing something fresh and new as well. I remember listening to this song when i was in high school 5 years ago and now I'm 23 and i realize how many things changed in my life and how songs can remind you of such specifics moments and memories. yeeeeeees i was feeling the exact same thing im sitting up in my bed about 3:am in the dang morning watchn fresh prince martin and living single reruns on cable and going back n fouth watchn bet her playlist morning glow and next up videos haha as soon as i listen to the song and just let it play that little music piece and her cute little vocals on a certain part i felt like i was back in the 90’s and it felt good back when this world was a little better just a little well better than what it is now and better music when people really saaang but this song took me back and in a good way had my tummy tickling and everything i thought i was the only one so this young lady is hitting a note with all of us maaaan do we need more from her i loooove this song takes me back to when u can call those 900 numbers to vote for your favorite video like that lil group that sang that song forever and ever i will always be for you anquette yall remember them and then that techy vibe part it has now that pulled it all together please beautiful give us more keep giving us good music

Daley Levine That's just how previous generations felt about the music in the nineties. Much of the same was said about 90's music. The art/music that came out in the 90s was just right for that generation much like what is coming out now is just right for this generation. In my opinion, there is a lot of really grest music being released today. You can see how much many current artist are influenced by 90s artist. An example of really great current music would be Sampha's debut album Process. I highly disagree with your assessment of Kelela. She may be different from what you prefer but that doesn't make her talentless.

I don't know where I've been the last couple of years that I'm only just hearing this song now, but I'm sold. This is a vibe I didn't know I needed. This song sounds so fresh and new while also sounding retro and familiar It's refreshing to see great music being released by women my age. Don't get me wrong, I love what a lot of the younger women are doing too, but we don't get to see a whole lot of women in their mid 30s breaking into music. It's almost always legacy acts who have been around for a decade or more, or newcomers who are in their teens and 20s that are dominating the scene.
