Before I ever learned of her Broadway career I worshiped her as Emily Gilmore on the Gilmore Girls. She played a very complex character to the hilt! Outstanding performer.Bravo!

Kelly was Shelia. She played that part so wonderfully at times I wasn't sure if it was the character speaking. I think Priscilla was great, but Kelly earned it big time.

I had the privilege of seeing Bebe Neuwirth play Sheila when the touring company came to Philadelphia in 1977. It was years later when I was thumbing through my Playbills that I saw Bebe's name listed as playing Sheila, and I'd become familiar with her through "Cheers". Her performance in Chorus Line stood out because of her ability to invoke dry humor and have it come across as hysterically funny. Bebe makes you want to keep a straight face with her yet burst out laughing at the same time. Miss those days when theatrics were organic, revered and appreciated.

I have a printout of an article from the NY Times right before the '76 Tonys where they discuss how they became such good friends and that it was hard. That's human, but Priscilla Lopez is a lovely and gracious person, and I believe her when she says she was truly happy for her. Who wouldn't want to win it for themselves? I believe she may have been momentarily disappointed - who wouldn't? But she was happy for her.
