Can we please remember that singer simply get tired of singing, the same songs, the exact same way over and over and over and yes it can be hard to hit a certain note a certain type of way over the years but if they’re gonna sing like 15 songs, and then try to have the voice to sing. This doesn’t always happenand they get bored of singing songs, exact same way they’ve sang them all these years

I'm a vocal coach and I can tell you that she Is definitely struggling with some notes and that's why she avoids them. Of course every artist changes melodies and all that stuff, but knowing Kelly, she would do it harder cause she know that she can handle it haha. She has some psychological barriers to sing and it's completely understandable cause her songs are way so hard. In an interview she said that the band knows every song in like three different keys and she tells them in which they will play it according how she is feeling, that's the most clear way to see the barrier. But of course Kelly is great, just needs to work out that and she will handle everything she wants.

@@oscarprado8813 tbh she WAS struggling until like 2019 because of those pregnancies. since 2020 she recovered her range and now in 2023 she recovered the ease. check her concerts of december, and she attempted SUBG high note after years and SLAYED, it was in september. also check her cover of trouble blues

@@doctorits I feel like she's been training, her voice is way better now compared to when her career started. Pregnancy definitely can add some problems, but I doubt that it was the only thing that was happening. Cause she still sounds uncomfortable every now and then, but of course she's one of the best singers of these days

@@doctoritsoh absolutely, Kelly looks incredible these days, but that outfit was SOOOO flattering on her! And I remember at the time people were writing about her weight gain, but she was just sooo skinny on Idol that when she started getting curvier she was blasted for it in the media. Having a perfect body just doesn’t have anything to do with talent and singing.

I remember an interview Kelly did, and imagine this is true for a lot of performers, she said after multiple shows back to back it takes a toll on the vocal cords and she cant physically peak it without risking damaging her vocal cords. Rather than risk the failed note, lowering it still gives musical coordination and lowers risk on her voice

she stopped attempting the big note after her pregnancies, which damaged her voice. now she has fully recovered and is even better but she only tried 3 times (1 successful)

I just have to say that the “dodged” video for Since You’ve Been Gone wasn’t actually dodged. Hannah Bailes reacted to it and I agree. Kelly purposely dodged that specific high note to fit the arrangement. You can tell her voice was in good condition that time and she hit a F#5 after the “dodged” note.

nice vid idea! if we have to be honest there's no dodged notes on lighthouse, 'cause the F is on harmonies and she sings lead, and neither in Walk Away, 'cause the G was added only in her live in 2013 or Mr Know It All, 'cause the F was not recorded 🤣🤣

Nice video. I've got a suggestion for you: Her GREATEST performance of the BTHE climax is on Napster. Much less constricted, less strained, an even mix, greater CLARITY, and flawless tonal production. No other performance of the climax tops that one. Thing is, not many people know of that performance, so it's easily overlooked. Her G5 in SUBG on Napster is also one of her best ones. Slight bit tension and distortion, but phenomenal none the less. Check them out and use them sometime

Honestly i get so tired of belting. Belting isn't necessarily musical it's more like vocal athletics. I'd much rather hear a creative song than belt after belt. Boring
