Both Billie and Kelly's versions were equally amazing for me. When I listened to Billie's, as it was her song, it gave me that sober feeling, that loneliness a person can go through a heartbreak. Kelly also shows that feeling in her version, but with an additional anger and disappointment. Both artists just slayed this song.

This version feels like the stages of a breakup. The way she says “I’m happier than ever” sounds so sad, like she’s convincing herself and then finally breaking through the pain and feeling anger over everything she’s put into the relationship. Ah *muah*

This version hits differently. I'm 31 now, and Billie's is amazing and gives me nostalgia. It reminds me of some of the fleeting toxic relationships I had as a teenager. Kelly's version though is like ending an abusive longterm relationship, where there's actual stakes involved. It speaks more of trauma. Although Billie wrote it Kelly's hits way deeper.

Now this is what you call a "COVER", singing an original song as if it's your own, adding new emotions, flavors, and a brand new soul to the piece. Your version is just pure eargasm.
