I live in Southeast Texas near the Tex/Louisiana border; about 10 miles from Beaumont. We drive through Houston and Katy every time we visit our son in San Marcos. Right at the end of this clip, Renee's Texas accent started to slip out. Texas has been the starting point for a lot of celebrities. Some are not ashamed of Texas and freely tie their self to the state. Owen Wilson, for a long time, did a nod to Texas in his movies. Either a Texas flag showing in a scene, or his wearing a cowboy hat and bringing up Texas in the dialog. Some celebrities try to shun Texas once they hit it big in Hollywood. But that is OK -- I shun them, and they do not get rich off of my money. Those of us who are proud of our Texas heritage consider ourselves a Texan first, an American second.
