This summer, her hard work is finally paying off, as Talia is set to take center stage as the new Elphaba on Broadway! The original Elphaba, Idina Menzel, surprises Talia with good luck wishes and shares some vital advice.

I saw Talia as my first Elphaba when Wicked came to Los Angeles and she was PHENOMENAL! I’m so happy I started following her journey after that show to see her meet Idina. You can tell she met one of her hero’s.

I got to see the extremely talented Talia in Dallas for my birthday last year!!!! It was an amazing performance that I’ve wished to see for YEARS when I first heard Idina’s recording of Defying Gravity. It’s not the same as New York but the location doesn’t matter cuz she elevated the performance. It’s so great to see her meet Idina.

I saw Talia on tour a few years ago, and I was seriously blown away by how good she was. It was a stellar cast, but her performance was extraordinary. I’m so, so happy for her (and those that get to see her). She absolutely earned it.

Amazing!!! Beautiful reaction!!!! Idina is an icon!! I wish something like that happen to me. I really want to meet Hugh Jackman. I'd love to go to Broadway and see him perform. I'm from Argentina but that's one of my biggest dream!!! Mr Hugh Jackman is everything to me. I look up to him!! This motivates me to start saving money and make my dream come true!!

Just saw Wicked a few days ago when i was in NY. First of all, Wicked was worth every penny! Talia and Brittney (Gaaaalinda 🙂) were amazing. The show was funny, moving, and just incredible. Would see it again in a second!

I watched this episode of the show when it aired, but I came back now to just say that if you haven't seen Wicked yet, or you wanna see it again, go see it with Talia as Elphaba. I saw her on June 29th, and I'm still not even processing what I saw yet. What an incredible talent she is, she was just breathtaking. Every note was so good, my mom cried before we'd even hit intermission because she was so talented.

I had the pleasure of seeing Idina in Wicked and i remember she blew me away. I bought the CD at the gift shop and listened to it so much throughout middle/ high school it stopped working properly. Before moving out of the Tristate area i took my husband to see wicked and Taila was performing. Her rendition of the Wizard and I made me cry. Two wonderful talents in this video.

I just saw Wicked on broadway at the Gershwin theatre with the new cast. I had listened to Idina Menzel and Kristion Chenoweth in the soundtrack, and they were amazing. But I loved Talia as Elphanba> She did an amazing job on stage. 💕

I am a bit confused by the sequence of guests appearing because I am only able to watch these KZfaq short clips. I believe Idina was the first guest, followed by Barlow and Bear (since Idina shifted one place down the couch). Did Idina leave the couch and/or pretended to leave the show after chatting with Barlow and Bear? If not, why would Talia be so surprised when Idina walked out again? Does Talia not know who the guests before her were (or could she not view the show live on TV while waiting in the green room)?

Most likely they put her in a room without a TV and then had Idina leave and comeback.

Some talkshow, they don't like see other guests beforehand. Maybe she knew Idina was there like same day as her but the staff maybe told her that she left immediately or something so she didn't meet her in person before the show starts. Example: Like on ellen when Oprah surprised Tiffany Haddish and/Or when Jennifer Aniston surprised Charlie Puth.

Idina did her interview beforehand. Talia is a big fan of her so Idina left the room and came back out to surprise her. That's why they didn't meet beforehand.

I went to see Idina at her “I Stand” concert in Detroit in 2007 and it was ANAZING.. didn’t get to meet her but omfg that would be unbelievable!

I apologize but have no idea who the 2 young women are at the beginning of this video but I did notice that when Idina Menzel did come on, they were looking at her...and I could hear them thinking..."who the hell is this women"??? Ms. Suskauer, however, knew in an instant and was overcome with joy and, I imagine, a little but of awe. After trying, again, to figure out who those 2 were, I still don't know but if they haven't seen "Bridgerton", maybe I don't want to. Just kidding.
