Love that beauty of joseon serum! 2% is perfect for me. More isn’t always better with niacinamide. The higher you go the more likely it will irritate your skin. :)

Totally agree Honey + niacinamide is excellent in a serum. I use Tosowoong Propolis Essence as a light weight moisturizer during the summer.

another one of my favorite serums is the (highly underrated) benton deep green tea serum. it soothes irritations (including breakouts) very well and also gives me antioxidants & hydration for a fair price. I just with the bottle was bigger. :D

@@silavie1378 Hmm it does have niacinamide in it but I'm not sure if it would be as effective as some exfoliating acids, vitamin c, arbutin, tranexamic acid etc. which are more targeted ingredients for treating dark marks but it doesn't hurt to try! It's pretty affordable, I just repurchased it from yesstyle for under 20 euros :)

Hi Kelly a couple of these are also my HG's - the Klairs fundamental watery oil drop and the Isntree TW bifida ampoule, have been staples in my routine for well over a year. I'm also really loving the dual chamber essence/serum from cosrx featuring snail and niacinamide. it is thick enough to almost function as a serum step. The Isntree and the snail essence seem to help with redness, which is my main concern (rosacea). I use tretinoin or retinaldehyde, depending on what my skin will tolerate for aging concerns (I'm 49) and retinoids have made a massive difference re strength and firming of the skin for me. Some days I have to skip them, as my skin can be very reactive. I also use an azelaic acid serum from geek and gorgeous (Apad) for my rosacea, but it isn't a K beauty brand. I think it's fine to use a mixture of K and western beauty, picking the best for my skin from such a varied industry. Many K beauty brands focus on gentle, hydrating and soothing ingredients - which is great for my sensitive skin, but for hard hitting actives I look to Western skincare. There I find the retinoids and azelaic acid I need/want to incorporate. This gives me the best of both worlds. Best wishes. ps that RNW serum looks like my next one to try lol.

Thank you Kelly for this video! My skin is a mess right now. I evidently had an allergic reaction to a n95 mask and it is so itchy and very sore. Nothing seems to help right now! I did just buy the RNW and IsnTree serums. YesStyle has these on SALE right now! Yippee!!! Thanks again Kelly!

I’m so tempted by some of these! My go-to serums are the iUnik black snail and Beauty of Joseon Repair (one in the morning and one at night). I’ve been I’ve been eyeing their Glow Serum for a while, since the calming one is also great.

I discovered the oil drop serum because of you and I'm in love with it my other favorite is the RNW ceramide serum I use every night and sometimes in the day too and the purito unscented serum I use it everyday after the oil drop serum with a drop or 2 of the ordinary phynogenol serum, I kinda play chemist and mix those 2 to make my own power house serum. I still haven't tried the Wishtrend propolis serum but I think I'm gonna order it next also the toner everyone says goes so well together and the innistree bifida I also really want but I heard they changed the formula of it and it's not as effective anymore the good ingredients is now at the bottom of the list l, I don't know how true that is but I would like to know before I spend money on it and it's not as good as it once was. O one of my other favorite is a western brand Dermatology needle less serum I really love that one too.

By the way Beauty of Joseon just released a new "Deep" Glow serum which swaps the propolis/b3 combo for rice/arbutin 2%. Did not try it yet but I received it in a bundle with their rice cleansing balm (which I always liked!). I have to confess I still love the Dinasty cream as well but the new serums and toner... I went Donginbi for a while now and it is hard to get back to less concentrated ginseng products even tho obviously cheaper ginseng products also make sense.

that is so true, I also on prescription tretinoin and I don't do mask or exfoliating anymore like I used to. i find it very wasted when you can get chemicals exfoliating in hand. I just don't do those weekly masks anymore and I'm super excited 😂 I don't have time for that and it's enough to use the chemicals one

For me, I think the RNW Serum would be best. I’m already using the Isntree Serum, I highly recommend. I’ve been using it for about one year now. I am also using The Ordinary Buffet Serum with Copper Peptides, but that is a new addition to my serums. Will The Buffet Serum be okay to use with my Curology prescription? It includes Tretinoin, Niacinimide, Azelaic Acid. Thanks for all the info Kelly!

I’ve been using the azeliac acid by Cos De Baha for the past couple of weeks and I really like it! I have dry sensitive skin with redness and hyperpigmentation. I have no irritation from this and it has helped reduce the redness. Hope this helps!

I only wish that serums would not come in dropper bottles! You have to be so careful with those and using them takes more time. Don't get me wrong, my routine takes 15 minutes to complete, but I prefer pump bottles... I don't know if I'm clumsier than most people, or just more fearful of accidentally dropping something?!

Yes.. my thoughts exactly and i did break a bottle the other day, it top over and the glass neck shattered still over half full i trasfer into a pump bottle but abit scare to use it incase glass got inside.

I absolutely love your channel😍 Just stumbled across it a few days ago and I’ve already watched almost all of your videos🤩 Quick question: I have sunspots and freckles and want to reduce them. They got really bad after during and after my pregnancies. I also have very dry and sensitive skin, and would love to find products that can help reduce my spots. I’m currently using the Ordinary’s mandelic acid serum and the Ordinary’s Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate serum. Both are quite oily and I just don’t like the way they feel. I would love to find K/J-beauty product to replace them. Do you have any suggestions?🤞

I have a review on the iunik from around 2019-ish. It's a nice serum for sure but the wishtrend is better in my opinion and doesn't contain essential oils like the iunik!

I'm constantly in the breakout/hyperpigmentation cycle. But I'm in the purging stage of my tret journey so hopefully that improves in the next months. I'm thinking about getting the Wishtrend propolis serum to help with everything. You made it sound super amazing. We have very similar skin so hopefully it's a holy grail for me as well.
