We are currently outside of South Fork, CO, and have given a few thru-hikers of the CDT a ride. I didn’t realize this was a major spot for the CDT, but it’s pretty cool. I gave a ride to an older couple from Cali who must have been over 70 years old, which is incredibly inspiring!

Kelly, I always wear long inseam underwear because it stops chaffing, and reduces the need for a body glide product. Wearing small underwear that has no material between the legs means you are confident your legs will not rub each other. That there is considerable thigh gap.

Great gear load out! I have to say I have never once regretted bringing a super warm sleeping bag/quilt and like you said you can swap it out if you need to. Your new quilt looks awesome. I've switched my base layers for Alpha Direct top and bottom and I love them! so much warmer for the weight. A little bulkier but well worth it.

I carry an epi-pen for the times when I’m struggling to get up a steep climb. I find that has just the right amount of stuff to keep me going🤓

I love gear rundowns. 🤓 Very wise to buy the rescue insurance for your Garmin, Kelly. The extra power bank is smart being a vlogger. Another vlogger made a good point that you have 2 in case 1 craps out, and the charge time is less as opposed to 1 big power bank. Awesome gear 9L. Have to mention..I was at the ranger station on the Kancamagus, and a photographer was there with an OM camera. She had nothing but good things to say about it; made me think of you. Take care ✌️

Awesome gear video. If I may suggest you try Trifecta Tyvek Bivvy. I love that unit. Very light weight and takes little space. It is wind and waterproof. I use it with a light throw and a liner if temperature is zero or below. All 3 together will be about 2/3 of your sleeping bag. It is breathable so I keep my clothes inside to keep them warm for cold mornings. Have a great trip.

I pulled the trigger yesterday and paid the £200 to start my US Visa process in readiness for the PCT (2025 or 6). I hiked cdt in 2022, i would definitely recommend carrying a cnoc bag for that water carries. Another recommendation is carry multiple pairs of socks in New Mexico because that dirt goes right to your toes and causes blisters. If you have any questions I'll help you where I can. Those farpoint alpha cruisers are awesome. I used one on the Ouachita Trail and other trips this past season in Arkansas. They keep you warm, but they are so breathable they can be worn when it's chilly and you're getting started in the morning, but as it warms up, you don't need to shed as quickly as you would a lot of other mid layers. And soooo light.

Hey Kelly I’d recommend you check out an emergency tarp sold at Walmart it’s lightweight and can be used for a ground cover or emergency shelter on the trail why I’m recommending it cause I live in Colorado and temps can change depending on elevation quickly and in your front pouch I’d recommend a small first aid kit and bear spray is a must you can run into bears! I have we do live in bear country so cook away from your camp!
