Predator's Predator!! Lol no. Most animals just know how to eat and survive. Dogs and cats were like that too, but they were domesticated. So of course when an animal is domesticated they will compare it to the most domesticated animals in existence.

@You're Sheep Exactly! The research she talked about was all B.S! They don't need to be poked, prodded, drugged and spend their whole life in what is essentially a prison cell with water, for what? To let us understand their friggin measurements! More like to make money having them jump through hoops for our enjoyment. Disgraceful. They should be left alone! This is the whale equivalent of a chimp in a tiny cage and never ever getting out. People are like "oh look it's smiling how cute" no you idiot, that's just the way they look. khawass Are you for real comparing a human to a beluga? I’m sorry but at what point exactly in your life did you encounter other organisms who literally feed on you? These belugas are born in captivity. They lack the skills necessary to survive in open water. They have to be re-taught these skills in order for them to be released, and that is not an easy process. Additionally, some of these belugas may cease to find a mate if they get released.

In truth Kelsey, even aloof cool cats do think about their human all the time even though they don't show it. My brother had a cat who was closed to him. She always climbed on top of the piano whenever he's playing on it. She hung out with him in his room but was never clingy When he left for college overseas, the cat sat on the piano 24/7. She ate maybe only once a day. She searched for him in his room and climbed back on top of the piano and waited for him for 4 months, always looking at the door while she perched on the piano. We tried to cajole her into playing with us & other cats. We even adopted a new kitten to try to snap her out of it. She then disappeared and was never seen again. She was heartbroken. My brother was inconsolable. We didn't know or understand the emotional depth and bond she had with him. So yes, animals do think about their human. And Belugas being smarter than cats would definitely have a more significant emotional bond with their trainer/human

We must learn all we can about all living creatures. I have read many of them are rescued and unable to return to thier homes. So I'm grateful they have people like you to love and be loved!! Thank you so much for educating us.

Aquariums are important. When marine lives get washed ashore or when an animal is hurt/distressed, the employees that work in these facilities are the fastest and most experienced people who can save/help them. There has been a case of dolphins dying in huge numbers after getting washed ashore and due to lack of people who could help them and the fact that they closed the aquariums nearby due to protest, many of he dolphins died. Although such animals should not be kept in small tanks and become an entertainment for humans, it’s not a reason that Aquariums should be closed down.
@lethiapage47675 жыл бұрын
I agree that aquariums are important for rescue efforts. When an animal comes into care for whatever reason and can't be rehabbed and sent back to their wild habitat you can either 1 continue to care for the animal 2 set them free at a disadvantage to be pretty much instantly picked off, or 3 euthanize. Keep in mind many many animals who come into care have been injured somehow by humans! Indirect or direct, purposefully or accidentally....mostly through pollution or other damage to their home or interruption of their migration etc! So you can say its not our place to interfere in the first place but that's simply not true. So there is a demand for these facilities aside from kidnapping animals for humans purposes or entertainment. Yes aquarium life is a contrived situation and less than ideal but a responsible facility will make the best of it by showing these animals human love and friendship and as much companionship with other animals as possible. They will also conduct research to help advance our knowledge of the animals and help with the wild populations. You might even be able to get some breeding done to keep a population from going extinct. And the entertainment factor is great when you consider that audience revenue can be used to fund the animals' care and whatever else to keep the facility open. Also when people are allowed up close experiences with animals we start to care more about them and it is more likely to stir within us a desire to protect them.
@JP-pc1lb4 жыл бұрын
Lethia Page well said. The conservation efforts of aquariums and zoos must be their most important goal! This is what separates them from circuses...
@narayaniji86994 жыл бұрын
The aquariums should be like human hospitals: repair & release. Some need to stay longer than others, but the end goal should always be to free them.
@happyluckph4 жыл бұрын
Narayani Ji the issue here is money. People can not work for free. Is order to acquire knowledge that certifies a person to work with an animal, they must have spent a certain amount of time and money. Hospitals are paid by the government from taxes and insurances but aquariums are not. The workers there would have no salary. What you said is right, but what we need is a solution that will actually work. To make an aquarium a hospital for animals, and to be able to provide a salary for it’s workers.

I agree.. I really think its about ignorance when people comment this in these situations.. Its some peoples first instinct to wanna say "Free them!" Without educationing themselves as to how and why they made it to these aquariums.. It isn't to be selfish and keep them captive

I love animals because they do not double face like humans.. they are more sensitive than us..❤
