Well kinda but also, how did you expect her to think there's a rational logic in feeling another person's presence in a universe that mirrors ours? (remember she had no idea about parasytes back then) Honestly many people with a very developed intuition might get gut feelings that seem to answer to no logic at all and end up being right all the same. It'd make sense for her to think that is the case, after all not everything in this univers can be explained through science and logic (and I say this as a scientist myself). Kana died because she was in love and love makes people do dumb things (though on a dumb-ometer I don't think what Kana did was so stupid tbf far more silly things have been done) and feeling love is an inherent part of the human condition. So really, Kana dies because she was human. It was tragic, but also in a way inevitable. Irrationality and mysticism are part of the bundle that is human experience, as well as logic and reason and thus in our life those elements must coexist. As of now anyway, maybe the day will come when science will have an answer for everything, but until then I do think things like magical thinking and intuition are inherent to us for a reason. Since we have them, the best we can do is use them as best we can.

@@dei-dei this is where i can only say that people with a very developed intuition could become very smart if they were more analytical. relying purely on intuition most of the time is something that shouldn't be done because when it fails on you, you get hit with surprise element because you think you were right. the main character (forgot his name) is part to blame for her death tbh, he had her keep guessing about what is going on with him and never really communicated with her that well + she kept thinking that she was the one and that he was the one too throughout the whole show and didn't tell kana a single time about the parasites. she basically went into a dark alleyway with a blindfold and earplugs on.

@@Aerixes. There were two moments in the anime where she believed she felt his presence prior to her death, despite it not being him. Even though he didn't directly tell her about the parasites, he DID warn her that her intuition could be wrong. On one end she could have been way more cautious and logical, but her character was at the same time very emotional and obsessive, so it makes sense that she would jump to the conclusion that it was Shinichi's presence that she felt before her death. If I suddenly fell in love with someone and could literally "sense" their presence (and sometimes be right) without any knowledge of anything supernatural, I would also assume that it would be my person of interest and not a man-eating monster.

i'm also an introvert but my introversy is not as strong as yours. i don't want to sound rude or hateful but what you said in the last line of your comment sounded like you have trust issues, and you shouldn't think that way because you'll close yourself more and more till it becomes second nature which isn't bad but humans are thinking creatures and we are able to communicate better than any other animal which gives us the upper hand and also helps us maintain a healthy mind. hope this changes your perspective even if it was just a little bit.
