Cool fireworks .We had our 24th June fireworks here .For Saint Jean(John) de Baptiste day here in Quebec Canada . And on the 1st of July Canada Day fireworks also . So have a good a good 4th of July one everyone .

Great video as usual. I saw you had some fireworks drone footage and some other night footage in past videos. Any advice for a drone pilot looking to get a 107.29 waiver? They seem to be getting tougher to get. Thanks again for the great videos.

I've never gone after a waiver, but they do seem to be clamping down on them for some reason. Only advice I can offer is to develop a relationship with your local FAA guy. Maybe send him/her a fruit basket? --No wait... That's a bribe.

Question: When shooting footage at a fireworks show, do you record with your Roland and sync with the vid? How do you sync with the drone footage without a scratch track?

I've never seen an icecream truck go backwards. When I was a little kid, I'd b all running as fast as my little legs could go and screaming. STOP, STOP and he would go just fast enough to pull away and fade into the sunset.

Speaking of the ole M80 and M90 I was in Kansas years ago. I brought a bunch over here. Ive had them say 17 years. I got mad at some squirrels just to scare them off. I lit the dang thing a boom. That plastic piece inside can do damage to a human foot. It hurt like heck. Thank's for the memory lol Was a fun video Ken thank you

I had a deputy friend bring me some m1000's and although louder than a regular firecracker, when opnned to inspect they were pack inside with only paper wadding and the firecracker was as small as the ones they call lady fingers.

You should have made the hotdogs stationary when you tested it....because if you were holding it with your fingers ,they couldnt blow away like the hotdogs did.It still gets the point across though :)

Ken, I can't blow my fingers off with fireworks. I live in a nanny state (MD) where the governing body cares so much about our health they've outlawed those health hazards. Stay tuned;..... the state that figured out a way to tax the rain, will be at it again in Jan......

We were poor when I was growing up. When the ice cream man came down our street ringing his bell, I always asked if I could have some ice cream. My mother told me that when he was ringing his bell, it meant he was out of ice cream. Bummer!

We used to wrap a piece of #9 wire around the M-80 to drop it in the water... UH, I MEANT TO SAY: We saw somebody who wrapped a short piece of #9 wire around the M-80 to drop it in the water... The fish enjoyed the show so much, they must havr passed out from laughing... :|

In the USA the FAA won't allow night flights anymore. You can film at a very dark dusk though. Also, don't get too close to the ordinances! I know it LOOKS cool with the fireworks flying past, but just one hit, and you're finished. I've filmed four fireworks celebrations and each time underestimated the reach of the rockets. Fly safely!!

Thank you. I will keep in mind and will not even drone if it is 20 minutes after sunset. I heard they give special authorization to fly at night if supported with valid reason(not sure if 4th of July fireworks is a valid reason). You should have got that so that we all could have enjoyed a firework feast.

Federal law now limits the grains of powder in firecrackers. Therefore from my understanding of it, even certain countires cannot make firecrackers that powerful to sell. But would be nice to be wrong...also since I live in california, cannot legally have firecrackers!
