Great art fashioned by the hand of man to replicate a greater art, that of the creator’s hand, will always be wonderful, albeit it is an inferior representation. God the great artist who represents beauty so beautifully in nature, from flower to a beautifully swimming goldfish with its translucent tails, is an artist like no other. If great works by artists is worthy of admiration then how much more admirable is the art by God Himself. Admiration of God’s work is called worship.

This book jacket design is a plagiarism of the design for the cover of the book "Nothing If Not Critical" by art commentator Robert Hughes. That 1992 book's graphic design was by Chip Kidd.

This book is another hoax by the author!, It is truly remarkable how easily he finds antique frames for his paintings and how his newly-made stretchers can masquerade as old. These unlikely events are lightly glossed over in much the same way we are asked to really believe that he risked sneaking rolls of forgeries and bundles of stretchers into London in his baggage.

This book is another hoax by the author!, says Amazon review By Munster -- The book is a mildly amusing afternoon's read. The reader is supposed to believe that an uneducable lout, the author, suddenly discovers he has the innate ability to read and comprehend reference books and moreover produce forgeries that virtually defy detection. With no formal training, even in holding a paintbrush, he soon becomes able to produce several forgeries a week and sell them via art dealers auction houses.

Its 10 year on but you seem to have a bee in your bonnet. I'm in the UK and yes it is doable and several forgers have come from the UK, one especially had no formal training but ended up becoming one of our biggest forgers, even painting for the Kray twins (infamous London gangsters of the 60s). His paintings fooled the art world for years but he was caught and served time. Another British forger, also caught, produced paintings in the style of modern masters in his garden shed using household emulsion paint that fooled the experts, and of course there is Eric Hebborn who, though formally trained, fooled many for years with his old master drawings. So it can be done. The thing is they were working decades ago, Ken actually says he sold his first in the 60s, when the UK forger I mentioned was working. Back then their wasn't the science there is today.

This book is another hoax by the author!, Perenyi name-drops a few London antiques markets, a print shop near touristic Covent Garden but curiously seems unaware of the real dealers that shape the London art and print world. The book has the ring of fantasy - a work by someone who knows a bit about the art world, painting, fakery and avarice but not well enough to be able to demonstrate an intimate knowledge. This is a glib work - a nice fantasy but not believable.
