Also Kendo is the other character besides Ochako I'm by far most knowledgeable about so this was way too long to include in one comment but! Here's a quick list of a lot of other cool things kendo can do if you want to optimize her for you or people in the comments: - She has arguably the best and most fun movement once you master her because sprint rolling into air jab is a huge speedboost that never has a cooldown like every other movement option in the game so if you plan your routes well where you're always doing that to the next thing you can do it off of she really zooms without ever depleting her options or tiring out like the opponents you're chasing or running from are. - There is a harder more optimal kendo jab combo punish on shield that I've literally never seen talked about anywhere where if someone hits your shield instead of lowering the shield then jabbing you can do alpha TO lower the shield, do like 150 to the shield, then full jab combo them (very very very tight to get it to be a true combo if you do it this way but most people won't react in time anyway) THEN this version ALWAYS shield breaks so you can always do the alpha after whereas with starting with jab sometimes it doesn't break them if they had full shield and you're like oh I lost my 150 damage finisher. - Alternatively you can 1-2 jab them not the full 4 into the launch, then wait for them to panic roll and clap them on reaction for 200 if you think they had too much shield a jab combo wouldn't break and you didn't start it with them hitting your shield to do alpha first. - This is also great because air jab can combo into jab 1-2 but not further or they get the safe knockdown on the third hit because you already air jabbed them so now instead you can air jab > jab 1-2 > and then it's a 50/50 to clap immediately or wait for an immediate panic roll into clap. When combined with how you can speed forward off of everything by sprint roll cancelling into air jab... and now you know air jab is a 300+ damage combo starter... things get spicy. It definitely takes a ton of time and practice and also map knowledge of routes to plan and what combination of movement and distances you need for certain things to platform off to really see how good the movement air normal is though. I'd say that's her highest skill ceiling thing, maybe even the highest thing in general in this game most characters are pretty simple. But even just knowing about it and practicing a little you'll definitely still see benefits sometimes.

You can walk through Kendo shield and there's a slight gap between her and her hand. So you can basically run through and punch.

As a kendo main I can say this buff has made it so I get A+ ratings every game

I'm proud of your gameplay dude. Very well done. I do wanna add on to the shield buffs that weren't mentioned in the patch notes cuz Iida wasn't the only one affected by the changes. Assault Deku's beta also gets block by the shield now and funny enough so does Todoroki's ice slide. Now if he slides into you gets stunned as well. It's a little tricky counter attacking it cuz you do run the risk of being frozen, (not as bad now with his recent change tho) but still. There might be more that I'm unsure of too but I'll keep an eye out for those. In addition to these buffs however, they also slightly nerfed the shield in that the stun is now shorter. So she blocks more but has less time to punish.

Yesterday i reach the ace rank for first time, i'm so happyyyy, thanks to a victory exactly with kendo. She's very very strong, i love her gamma, with that shield that can stunn enemies and i love doing meele combo because, as you said, is probably one of the rare characters with you can use it well and ita veey satisfaing do that😂. After Kirishima, Denki's video and now Kendo all my favourite characters to play are done thank youuu Demoonn❤😂.

You kinda realized it on your own but yeah so if an opponent gets in really close to kendo they usually win because their jab hitbox MIGHT go forward far enough to be on the other side of the shield and not activate the shield, also Kendo still loses to all AOE attacks like Kaminari Beta, Mt Lady Stomp, and Kirishima and Red Deku ground pounds since they hit an her on her backside and the front at the same time. Also as you saw with that mt lady that ran through your clap because the clap reaches pretty far in front of you and no hitbox at all where your body or your extending arms are just your hands. So because her two best options don't work at all point blank that is the best option if you have a move to exploit it. So because of this Kendo kind of has an actual Fighting Games RPS, she has the farthest reaching (and I think fastest?) run-up autocombo so if someone walks up on you to try to do that, your jab beats their walk up, if they attack your block beats their attack, and if they do an AOE or a projectile to try to safely hit around the shield she can kinda hyper armor grappler them with the clap through those attacks that beat all her options and severely outdamage everyone since it hits for almost 200 which not even kirishima can do anymore. Finally, they'll probably NEVER patch the kendo flying "glitch" because it's not a glitch at all, it's more like a tech I guess because it's taking advantage of two technically "intended" game mechanics in a weird difficult way lol the speed card gives EVERY character low gravity, and kendo has the only move that makes you go up instead of down that doesn't require a charge that runs out so because of these two things she can go up almost forever. So theres no glitch in the coding being exploited like infinite iida recipro or toga flying or toga permanent ability steal... They would have to heavily nerf the way speed cards work for every single other character in the entire game to balance one of the lowest played and not even top tier (even with this tech) characters, alternatively they would have to completely ruin kendos ENTIRE kit and her single most important feature her air normal which is her only movement and her best neutral combo starter just to fix a tech that isn't really OP? I mean I have won games because of it and gotten sneak attack kills and escaped fights I would have died without it for sure. I love to use it and I think it's really fun, but it's not without counterplay and if you literally look up and see her doing it you can shoot her down pretty easily if you have awareness so you still have to be tricky about HOW you use it. So yeah idk, I really just feel like it's not worth it to lower the fun for everyone in the entire roster making blue cards bad and take something that's technically not even a glitch away from a character to do so. We'll see though it is pretty famous so they might try something. Curious if you'd rather have them remove it or not. I personally live for cool pointless tech stuff to master in competitive games like this so I'd be down even if it was game breaking lol

Every character in this game w low mobility has the biggest disadvantage. Momo , Kendo , Shigaraki, Dabi, Shoto , even Endeavour for his slow movements can be taken down by bakugo so easily. Just use 1 specail , 2 betta , the rest is alpha.

Kendo's fun to play, so is froppy after her buffs, and Iida is easier to manage as kendo since the buff to her beta
