Kendrick wasn't being colorist to Drake, Kendrick's argument was that Drake was never a part of black culture due to being from Canada and rapping about stuff he can't relate to. Kendrick was basically calling Drake a culture vulture.

And if him being mixed means that he’s not Black enough then there are many other Black icons that need to be reclassified.

@@GrootmanSipho you're looking at it from a purely color standpoint and not from a cultural one. if it was purely on color kendrick wouldn't have called adonis a black man, specifically telling the kid to stand on the fact he has black in him instead of picking and choosing like his father does. Kendrick told drake to stop saying ninja not cuz he's mixed race but because he's not part of the culture, he just taps into it for clout (colonizer).

Kendrick is an artist in the most true sense. He paints the album with a purpose, and sometimes song don't get added not because they're not as good, but it doesn't compliment the album the way he envisioned it.
