I cant answer as to whether they work well on tin roofs, but its a shame Red Wing went the way of every outstanding American company ....capitalism huh

@@whiteyfisk9769 been using the kenetreks as work boots for being on top of chimneys. it works pretty well. however i worry is ill tear/cut them against a chimney under its flashing. but ive worked with redwings and did some crazy stuff to them. so since their both leather i imagine there a huge durability with itailian leather. i just dont want to mess my poor boots up. but if it does. then ill just buy another pair if i need too for next year. but i really do like these boots. only problem i face is that the center of the boot is so stiff that sometimes i crush tim roof alley's so i have to be careful when walking on these roofs a bit. but my traction is really great with them.

@@gospelninja2.016 Im a painter myself and am on roofs alot, i just use brooks tennis shoes, but im always on on shingles. I would imagine the flashing would eventually cut the leather at some point. Also if youre in burgerland, you can count thosr Kenetreks as a tax write off since if you're an Independent contractor. It would help soften the 500 dollar price tag. Worth every penny. Nothing but total respect for you chimeny sweeps, thats not a job for the faint of heart. Glad you got some good boots.
