Life saver! I had a different issue (ice chute door motor arm had popped off of the lever, so it wasn't opening). Anyway, thanks to your video I was able to get in there and fix it in about 10 minutes. I managed to break one bracket on the top of the face trying to get it off but it still set back into place nicely when I was done. Thanks for this video!

Thanks for giving me the courage to pop that plate off. I was worried about ruining it. I had a different problem but you video got me started.

Thank you for showing how to remove the cover. Mine was an easy repair once I figured out how. Going at the gap from the bottom by the dispenser with a butter knife made it very simple.

Hey Ken, Thanks for your patient advice. Like Debra's post below, I was able to get in, find problem and fix in 10 minutes, which SAVED me $400 in a repair call. I owe you a cold one! (Get it? A COLD one?!? Fixed my ICE dispenser... Oh well. Tx again.)

This was good information. I''m on my second refrigerator of this model. I've had problem after problem. The most recent being the ice delivery system. As disappointed as I might be in the product, I appreciate this video on a self repair procedure.

What is the part number of the spring? Searching online and getting different spring info! Thanks so much for sharing this video, I have no $$ for a repairman!

Excellent video. Instructions for removing the panel were great. My issue is now that it’s apart, the ice dispenser lever and springs look fine. It’s the actuator that’s not moving. Sears says the solenoid is $145. Their online “expert” sent me a picture of what he thinks I need and it’s a huge part. I removed the 2” x 1” part in your video and looking to see if I could just replace that. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I really wished you would have shown all your video of how you took your panel off instead of what you did. I believe you left out a good part of it.

Always appreciate these types of videos but this one is misleading in 2 ways. First, there's no way you can remove that funnel by simply squeezing the sides and pulling down like shown in this video. No way was that part actually installed completely when it was pulled out. Second, you don't need to remove the funnel to get to the next steps. If you're replacing the funnel part, you can remove it from the gray plastic bracket once you've removed that. Even then, not easy to do but if you're replacing it you can just gently break off the clips and it pops out.
