I am a Kaunda child I wish he could live forever, we at the grassroots though not mentioned were amongst the instruments for independence, may god bless him on his journey.

How do you report from JB when the person who has died is in Zambia?
@maureenbellamy10223 жыл бұрын
This global news. South Africa is no exception. Zambia was the headquarters for ANC. The two countries have a history. So yes South Africa has a right to report about our beloved president KK as a tribute.

One nation one Zambia. Corruption and disastrous maxist socialist ideology that impoverished Zambia. Only smart move allowing multi-party democracy. Edgar Lungu is reversing those gains sadly.
@kmj19763 жыл бұрын
Bullshit…there were bad economic policies during Kaunda’s rule but corruption was insignificant (from a monetary value perspective) unlike after 1991 when so called free markets led to sickening levels of corruption under Chiluba all through to now where we have the peak of corruption in Edgar Lungu and his cronies. Make no mistake that the Chiluba regime is responsible for this sickness (corruption)

@@kmj1976 The corruption and rot started with KK. Anyway you entitled to your opinion even if its wrong.
@kmj19763 жыл бұрын
Was there corruption during KK’s time? Yes! At the same scale as Chiluba’s or Lungu’s? No! There is corrruption every where. The US have even legalized some of it and they calling it lobbying...the UK has a lot of it but it’s at the big money level, not a policeman asking for lunch money. That’s the level Chiluba took it to. “Stealing” entire industries and companies.
@zeburules3 жыл бұрын
@@kmj1976 lets stick to Zambia and KK, Americans can speak to their system. Yes Chiluba was corrupt, my comment was on Kaunda and his leadership. I am old enough to remember the food shortages and curfews during KK. This is the problem with history, people forget important details and romanticise through a jaded prism of history. One party dictatorships are bad and were and are bad for Africa. Dictatorships are unaccountable. Lungu is a dictator. In my opinion Levy Mwanawasa was the best leader Zambia had and needed. So sad he departed before his time.

@@joyc9323 the conditions were right for corruption. Wanting our leaders not to steal while the people get poorer is not asking for "perfection". I guess thats why we have a leadership deficit all across Africa because many like you have very low expectations...satisfied with mediocrity.

This guy is a criminal and he will never rest in peace. He will meet the people he killed, he liberated and while he oppressed Barotseland and he killed and stole it's £78,500,000 to find Zambia. Now Barotseland is fighting for independence because of this guy.
