This is why routine is insanely important to me. If u treat it like a job and work at certain hours and then get out the studio and recharge spending time doing other things, you will find inspiration will start to show consistently. But if you keep getting down on yourself for not working enough then overworking to try and make up, you will end up forcing it and not enjoying it.

I am on a break right now. Kenny is totally right you have to be in the moment to get good music. Creativity requires that your mood be reflective of where you are emotionally. Taking a short break is good for your mental health. I hate that I'm on a break because I just added a new synth and finished rebuilding my standalone area. I need a break to recharge my body and my mind. I'm about to get into a gym and work some shit out. I have to find balance.

@@dna8269 an incredible amount. I have nice mixes, I am mastering my tracks. got decent at piano, writing bass lines, processing drums and truly designing them and other sounds. my sound selection has improved the most though and I would say that took me the majority of the year to understand. I've started to listen to my own music as someone else, so I yearn for things in my songs and then am able to create them. idk, but it is really insane how much can happen when it is your main focus. I obviously have so much to learn and my mixes / masters will improve a ton, but for where I started, it is hard to believe I am where I am at now in just a year.
