I got the chance without knowing it to meet Kenny Lewis back in St. Louis during COGIC Holy Convocation, I was about 18 or 19 years old, and i recognized him at that time because I knew he sang with Ricky Dillard in the 90's, as a matter of fact he sang on the title track, "Hallelujah" (Pt. 2) and he sang with New G on the Worked it Out album, he's right on the first row if you look at the videos from that project, one of my all time favorites from Ricky Dillard & New G before "Choirmaster" of course. I asked him, "Excuse me sir but are you Kenny Lewis" he said "yes sir" I asked "didn't you sing with Ricky Dillard back in the 90's" he said, "i did" and I said I want to let you know you were awesome on the Hallelujah track. He humbly said "thank you sir God bless" and we moved on from there, a small moment i will never forget for the rest of my life. A very humble man with an humble spirit, but he's is from that school of gospel choirs that many of us love and idolize to this day, so it's no surprise that I love this album from the start to finish. This album harkens back to a time when you had gospel choir albums and you listened to them from start to finish over and over, because the anointing was on them and they made you feel a certain way, that's how my mom used to play tapes and cd's when I was a boy so i love this kind of music. I bought the album for my wife for Valentines day because she was listening to the single, "Undefeated" a lot, and she has been playing a lot in the car. Job well done to Min. Kenny Lewis and One Voice for an highly anointed and timely album for this tumultuous season we are in, truly needed now more than ever! The choir, band, the writers, the lead vocalists, everything is on point here, God bless your ministry
