I was with a dreamer for over two years and he broke my heart almost every day. The dreamer they refer to is a person who chases something and puts everything else in their life on the backburner. We're all dreamers but we don't all chase the dreams at the ultimate price of losing the people we love or who love us. This song is so very true!

People here seem to think you don't choose whom to love - it's not true. Love IS a choice! We choose whom to love and whom not to love. Love that lasts a lifetime takes a lot of work, but it never feels like work when you're in love for so many years. I've been married to my husband and still passionately in love after 39 years! And it was our choice!

I didn't know he passed till right now. The funny thing I was blasting him the other day my daughter was like "mom who is that white man singing," I said girl that's Kenny Rogers wow didn't know he passed. One of the Best Country soulful white boy singers I know. He was apart of my happy childhood RIP Kenny.

Growing up... I used to listen to this song but I never thought How painful the song was till I was an adult...now I can relate coz I'll fell in love with a dreamer but destiny was not on our side All we have are memories of the past From lovers to friends and dreams unfulfilled but so glad we remained such good friends MJ
@rafaelvelez77663 жыл бұрын
I love reading comments. I've read many of these comments. I'm definitely a dreamer, and I feel I have to defend my dreamer buddies out there. As a dreamer, I'm typically misunderstood. Im very deep, and can relate to just about everyone. I've had many loves, but never satisfied. Everything and everyone falls short at some point. I've never really intended to hurt anyone, but I have hurt a few. But that goes both ways. Its almost a cruel joke to be created as someone who wants to go beyond where I am, only to be surrounded by world that is imperfect and falls short. You can't attack an individual for the way they're wired, folks. But understand that there's a reason you were drawn to a particular person. It may have been because you're deep too. So don't hate, celebrate!
