I started to listen to his music over the radio when I was a little girl. I got married and live in the US and still hook into it. My husband downloaded all his songs on my MP3 few years ago so I have something to listen wherever I go. I am saddened of his death! Rest in peace Mr. Kenny Rogers. He was the sound of mine too but to give you an idea how big Kenny Rogers was, I was born and raised in South America from South American family (nothing to do with USA nor the English language) my Dad loved Kenny’s music and we used to have long vacation trips with his songs playing many times.

Kenny Rogers wasn't just a great singer, he was a great entertainer. He was one of the few singers that could have entertained a crowd even without singing one song. He loved his fans and people in general and showed us that love by never insulting our beliefs and choices or throwing his politics or religion in our faces. He simply brought us much happiness and beautiful songs. Thank you, Kenny for all of the music and memories.

If you notice at about the 6:25 minute mark, the words on on a teleprompter scrolling as he is singing. While I am sure he remembers most of his songs he still has the words if he needs them.

UK didn't show any tributes to this great singer, nothing. His tragic death was announced but only just. I've loved his.music since the early 70's, I'm now 72 and still can't get enough of his lovely voice. So sad he's gone. RIP to the very best country singer of all time. Xx

Each time Kenny Rogers released a new album or cd I loved them all! My Mom and I went 5 of his Christmas Concerts! There will never be another Artist such as Kenny Rogers again!

My fondest memories of Kenny Rogers were seeing him perform at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Massachusetts. I will never forget it and him. He is in my prayers every day.
