This was the second of 2 Showroom shows for KWS. This video shows what a class act this guy is. At the start his guitar goes dead. I know from personal experience the most likely cause is the pedal board and he and his guitar tech frantically try to find the problem. Notice there is no drama, no temper just a very professional response. I know exactly what he was going through and I give him full credit for the way he handled it. In the end it was a bad (rental) amp. Plugged into the Bassman and problem solved. Although I had certainly heard of Kenny Wayne Shepherd I had not really followed him but this show and the previous one made me a fan. Great showmanship backed up by talent. Check his web site to see if he is coming to your area.

i think it's kinda charming that things didn't work perfectly. Kenny, like the pro he is, recovered beautifully. I like this concert a lot.

I wouldn't want to be his guitar tech. Luckily looks like Kenny is quite calm about it. I remember seeing Dickie Betts once and he chewed his tech up and down throughout the show.

Sound goes dead. The first thought you have as a guitarist is that its a loose connection in your signal chain so you check all your patch cords and power connections. In this case it turned out to be a blown amp which is sudden and unexpected as it doesn't happen often. Most of the back-line for the cruise is rented so you get what you get.

I believe they said he was a childhood friend who filled in at the last minute. It was interesting to watch Tony help him out though the set.

KWS is awesome, but the breakdown tells me he plays to loud when he's playing rythmn. just my opinion...

First time I saw him I wondered why he had a keyboard player. I never heard him! That's when he was just starting out. He is a great musician though and I dig him.

Yes, I've heard it myself. "The guitar is too loud!" I saw a rig rundown and he was talking about trying to cut down his stage volume.

The price of relying on pedals. Should do like Van Halen and just play through an amp, crank the amp, forget the effects.

Love Kenny Wayne, saw him when he was relatively unknown and he was incredible, I think he was about 17 at the time. One of the best guitarists of current. Good enough to open for Van Halen.

Guitar gets rectified but it's overpowers Noah's vocals barely audible..turn one uo or turn one down !!...I feel bad for Kenny I've seen.hi many many times never dissapointing. .poor sound tech. Knowing Kenny he's all good about it..it happens. .I fast forwarded still kennys guitar overpowers Noah his voice is buried behind Kenny's guitar .
