🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 Awesome stuff, dude It’s kind of weird that NASCAR didn’t say anything about that during the race and they’re all about the president. Well, at least they were when he came to Daytona. It’s kind of sad that they didn’t say anything.

I definitely think that if NASCAR would set a shot clock between stages and let the teams work on the cars for 2 minutes and line back up how they finished the last stage it would create bigger chances for other teams to finish up front

That is very true. It is hard to be out there with inferior equipment, it is mentally and physically exhausting. Way back in the day i did some racing at the local track here in the early 80's before the owner died and it shut down, after that along came LVMS. Never raced it but i worked there. Anyways, when the local bullring shut down, there wasn't anywhere to run, sold my car. My soon to be second wife's cousin was dating a guy that was involved with SCCA. His best buddy ran a formula ford car, which is entry level into formula 1 around the world. I went in on it with him and we took turns driving it in places like holtville which was on old ww2 army airbase, riverside, phoenix, maybe a half a dozen races a year, total poor boy operation. We had an older car, a croslle 30, it was about a ten year old car at that time to us. The factory teams like lotus, van dieman, cooper, lots of chassis and teams had us so outclassed. These factory teams would roll in with new cars, big programs you know? We knew there was no way in hell we could compete with them, we just ran races here and there for fun when we had enough money to put together for a road trip weekend. My partner and I's goal was to just simply not crash, try to stay on the lead lap, and we managed that only a few times. We were so outclassed by those big teams, running in the back was the norm for us. I know first hand how hard it is to run in the back especially with no spotter's, no rear view mirror's, only tiny side view mirror's, all your doing is trying to just stay out of the way, try to follow the big boy's and learn something, try not to crash and die. It's hard and exhausting to do, very very hard.

Never raced a car, but I paused at 1:06 and give you my guess. Firstly, you have to run the same amount of laps as the leaders, but without seeing the top spot, Secondly, the guys your running with are usually back there too and they're all desperate to get further up, third, especially these days, dirty air, ridiculous dirty air, fourth, you're trying not to go a lap down so you're constantly worrying about how far the leaders are behind you instead of in front of you...fifthly, you're frustrated, sixth ly, if you're back there, it's probably because the car aint handling good...got your hands full, drivers around you got their hands full...seventhly, you know you're doing it for much less pay than the guys way up there. Probably missing something.

I know I am a little late on this, KW, Whussssup? Love your videos and your insight Loved you when you raced also. Petty and Gordon fan since 1984. I am like many fans when their favorite driver retires is, who do you root for? I stuggle with this and I think this is a big problem for older NASCAR fans. Maybe you can do a video on who your favorite driver is/was and what will you do when they retire. Who will be your favorite driver then? Will you still follow NASCAR? How do we stay engaged in NASCAR when our favorite driver retires. Gordon retired and I lost interest. I still check in on the race and some races I will always watch (Bristol, Martinsville, both Dega's and Daytona's, both Darlington's.) The others, I just watch highlights. Anyone else have thoughts on this? I hate it, but I just don't have a dog in the fight anymore and it kills me. Thanks, from a 56-year-old NASCAR fan. Keep up the good shit, Kenny!

Kenny if you had ever got with a top tier team, you would have been up there every week. The car matters a lot, but so does the drivers. It's a shame that drivers like you and some of the others couldn't have got in better equipment. There are tiers in Nascar even today. There is Hendricks and Gibbs and then there's everybody else. Equipment matters.
