Kennywood opening day is here! In this vlog, I tour around the park to see everything new for 2024. Potato Smash is the new bumper car ride, albeit the themed vehicles are not running as of yet. Turtle received a major restoration. Kenny Kangaroo celebrates his 50th birthday with a limited time buffet. Jeeter's Pub is an indoor bar featuring park-centric drink offerings and nostalgic decorations. Carousel Burger Co. replaced Johhny Rockets. The Lost Kennywood gift shop is remodeled with the addition of a new candy shop. Updated National Historic Landmark markers are all throughout the park. Elephant parade and SS Kenny are removed in Kiddieland. Aero 360 is closed but promised to re-open next weekend. Steel Curtain will be closed for the entirety of the 2024 season for a major remodification project. Still more to come!

Went to Kennywood last season and had a blast, Spent all day there and it looked like a Walmart at 2 AM. Hardly anybody was there, everything was open except for SC but got so many rides on PR and SR. It was so worth the trip out. I will say quickly that Phantom's Revenge would not be considered a hyper coaster due to its height only being about 160 ft. Even though its drop is 220. Nice 2024 review!

I feel like Steel Curtain is probably gonna get the same treatment as Laser Loop in 2029 or 2030.

KENNYWOOD has always been a really exciting and beautiful Park . They always have the trees trimmed , grass cut , flowers every where , and all of the rides clean and painted . this Park always gets me excited to go there . Very nice documentation Dave !

The park looks great! I am glad that they refurbed the Turtles, this is an important ride being the last of its kind. I may be the only one, I am glad they are just going to close the Steel Curtain and get serious about fixing it for the long-term.

So sad about the Steel Curtain. Kennywood took a gamble and lost with using a coaster company with horrible reliability issues. As they say, you get what you pay for.
