Lets talk about the possibility that life on Kenshi can often times be traced back to Humans and Humanity.

So as someone was kind enough to point out. I mis pronounced "Trinitite" as "Titrinite" - I promise i can speak and read phonetically sometimes...sometimes. not this time. But sometimes. So yeah its "Trin-i-tite" not "Tit-ri-nite".

What's interesting about the skeletons in black desert city is they don't seem to have ever seen a hiver unlike sheks which they recognize as enforcers. Their reaction to hiver characters is more like "wait what the hell is that?", it's more confused or surprised sounding while with sheks they know exactly what they are. This makes it seem like hivers were made after the empire started falling apart and the sane skeletons had long since left, which lines up perfectly with the unethical "lets recreate humans and enforcers except without any freewill" scheme of mad cat-lon. It at least rules hivers out as being native to the planet. Also on this topic I wondered if scorchlanders were genetically modified greenlanders meant to better handle the climate of the great desert? Or if that phenotype evolved naturally over the centuries? Either is possible tbh

I can imagine the fishmen was created for aqua agriculture or some sort of. In the next game the water and seafaring overall would be more important so maybe it will tells a bit more about these ugly looking creatures. Most of the life forms basically genetically engineered to suit better for the moon's environment so in my opinion there is no original life form on the moon only what humans bring with themselves.

Nice theory that seems to fit the evidence we have. I always liked the idea that the Hivers are the descend from a bio/mech race that invaded the First Empire with/within a horde of Kaiju whose bones now litter the Boneyard (the queens controlling them from within like a parasite). The Skeleton Behemoths were then created to destroy them, and the rest is history. The remnant Hiver population would have remained hidden and in small numbers for a long time, and cut off from the outside, and they would eventually evolve the new hive societies we see today. In theory, all you need is a queen, and she could eventually rebuild a hive population, but it might take generations of queens; the game generally ignores aging beyond the modifier effect, so we don't have any basis for life spans of any of the denizens of the moon (which may simply be infinite, barring illness or injury, due to perfected gene-modding). The bio-mechanics of the hivers is an unfortunately little explored aspect of the game; it would make for an interesting start to create a hive that was capable of spawning new hivers by the queen in the place of the recruitment mechanic. My thinking was that the queen produces larva, which would go into an incubator, where it would be "fed" by workers, and eventual a new hiver would emerge, perhaps with a age modifier to adjust size and stats as they grow up. The queen could pick the hiver type with a production queue, and the different types might require more or less time in the incubator stage, as well as the larva production stage. Edit: I suppose that the idea that the First Empire collapsed in the aftermath of an invasion from outside could be wrong, and in keeping with "all things stem from humans", perhaps the "invasion" was more of a covert civil war, launched by a secret faction of humans, either from another world, or perhaps from within the population of Kenshi itself.

if you look at a beak things face, it looks strangely similar to a human face stretch over an avian skull. And its beak is just a human jaw stretched out to become a beak. Not to mention the hairline they have on the back of their head and neck.

I like the idea that everything, even the greenlanders were genetically manipulated. It explains why just laying in a bed for a day can heal mortal wounds and you can run nonstop across the world. Captain America is the base line human on Kenshi.

I personally subscribe to this idea overall with a caviat. My belief is that the Mankind of the First Empire were cybernetically enhanced humans, and the skeletons were more along the lines of a worker class like race. After Obedience, and the fall of the First Empire, the skeletons were largely without a goal, weighed down by a great deal of regret for the genocide of Mankind. On the other hand, one of them survived this, the Bugmaster, who might have had access to human genetic material. At the end of the Chaos age, Cat-lon sought him out, to make amends for the past mistakes, and together, give humanity a new chance. The result of this cooperation could have been the greenlanders and the scorchlanders, each tailor made to be able to better endure the biome of their respective living condition. Meanwhile, the cannibals could have been among those who were created first, but somewhere along the lines their recreation failed, and turned bestial. The cannibal problem led to a shortage of warriors and protectors, thus the enforcers were created, and the story largely continued as you described it. TLDR: Mankind created skeletons, Second Empire created the humans (shek and hiver included) of Kenshi.

I find your theory on the oceans being higher in the second empire, rather than the first, to be interesting. It makes me wonder if the ice caps were melted during the second empire (thanks to the war and things like the Eyes) and now they’re frozen again. Although I don’t know if that would make sense given how volcanic southern Kenshi is.

Aaaaaaactually. I break this down in detail in my Origins of the Cannibals video if you're interested. Short version though is that you're almost there. The fall of the first Empire likely caused a nuclear winter, which was the age of chaos, formed glaciers that would later melt, raising water levels, then evaporate returning them to their current state

I often wonder if Lo-Fi ever watch your videos and are like "That's a good idea. We'll have to add something confirming that in Kenshi 2." I also never realized how humanoid the skin spiders looked until you showed them here and talked about their human origins. To be fair, I am usually not thinking about looking at them when I see them, it is either running or fighting with a mix of trying to save anyone who falls. I assumed the hivers were bug like people, and the skin spiders where bug like bugs, and not hiver like monstrosities.
