I don't really understand why it is wrong for professional badminton player to gamble. Its his personal life and choice. Was he harming anyone?

Its illegal gambling - maybe the casino wasnt registered, doesnt operate by NGC casino rules, they dont pay taxes, the monies come from black market dealings - he committed a crime, so he needs to be put on trial, which suspends him from professional badminton

But professional badminton is a sport like a job. Why do we expect them to be moral ambassadors? A plumber could still work after getting into trouble with the law.
