Wow what a high energy performance. Ellen was bringing the attitude with that head action. She tore that song a new........well lets just say she tore that song up! I love the look on Ellen’s face when leans back into her lead . They were all gettin’ it and enjoying every second of it.

Wow !! Already fantastic ten years ago !! Katie was still playing a four-stringed fiddle, then one day she realized it was too easy for her and ... she had to add another string. 🎻 🎶 😉

Wow… this is 11 years ago? It’s one of my favorites and I’ve only seen it one time! 😂 Hard to believe they came in second place. I didn’t know Katie used to have blonde hair.

Don't often see Mom playing a mandolin solo, she's usually playing a stand up bass. Whatever she plays it's just great.

A decade back, Karen, the mother, was playing the mandolin and Jon, the father, had the bass viol. When Julianne was ready, Karen was willing and able to go to the bass (and trumpet when called upon) and Jon went less active, but it is said Jon is with the group on Wednesdays at the local Branson theater but I wait to have a few of these posted to see which they must do in time as what is gospel music for except to share and many of us have large mountain ranges to drive over or around to see the show, which is unlikely. So how about a video to feature your father playing the piano, or whatever in a gospel setting, one more in addition to his backstory of y'all being reared in solid multi-denominational Christianity and became , in most of our eyes, the all-American music family of this generation which we hope will last for decades...more.

why would anything thumbs The Petersen Family down? they are great at what they do. I've only found them the latter half of this year but I know their youtube channel is full of great music. they did great job on switching out so everyone got featured and everyone played their part quite well.

I think everyone is accomplished enough to have their own mic? Just line 'em up and let the sound guy mix the group? Sure is a great sound, and their choreography to get the mic mix is a lesson in group arrangement!
