Can our three main assistants coach at all? We know Orlando and Chin are recruiters, but one got fired so fast as a HC it wasnt even funny, the other has zero interest as a potential head coach by anyone at any level. Bruiser was an okay head coach but was fired from Umass, fired from Drexel. The two best coaches on the staff are Ulis who's a graduate volunteer assistant and Welch who there to be an individual instruction guy!! This roster deverses so much better. They should literally be like 20-3 right now!!!!

I think 99.9 % of Kentucky fans wanted Reed, Dilly or Reeves to take a 3 FTW or drive to the basket. And would've been okay with either of the outcomes. But the way this went down is unacceptable

You cannot defend Cal anymore. Well, you can, but youre not looking at reality. And at Kentucky, the "Gold Standard", is anything but, for the last 4 years. It's painfully obvious to most; yeah, there's always going to be Cal defenders to the last breath, no matter what. But come on already. As likeable and funny, and good of a recruiter as he is, at the end of the day its all about wins and losses and hanging banners when it comes to Kentucky. Period. Lastly, it pains me to say all this, but I just can't ignore reality anymore and just say nothing. YOU. GOTTA. COACH EM UP, CAL. Whether they're a 5 star or walk-on. There's nowhere else to point the finger anymore. UGGGH

Not only was that lob attempt one of the dumbest end of game plays ever, but there is no reason to leave Dilingham on the bench down 2 with 13 seconds left. That was criminal coaching incompetence. Cal could have of also made a adjustment to make it easier on the Kentucky big's getting torched like play some Zone. I know he never plays a zone, but he needed to make an exception instead of asking them to do something they clearly weren't capable. Literally just about anything else they could've done would've had a better chance of working than that lob attempt and he should've saw it wasn't going to work and called the timeout he still had.

The team is very talented the coach is bad. Thats why they got those solid wins early because they were more talented. Now later in the season teams are getting better with less talent Kentucky is getting worse

Not just that. But Cal took Dillie and Wagner out when they shouldve been in the game. I get it Reed was cookin but they needed Dillingham next to him. Fans just cant let these kids learn and build. I see they are getting better each game. It Tre plays, they win.

Ya. That was a really really really dumb play throwing it right to the gonzaga player inside. Like, dont get it. Thats for my teammate 🤔. Also not making all the free throws at the end there intentionally is always always nothing but a big debacle, especially when they throw it hard off the back. NEVER works

To not have Rob on the floor and you get beat by 4 shows that Cal has another agenda he wants Reed to be the star so let’s call a spade ♠️ a spade Call and the Dad has had a talks with NBA scouts about show that Reed can lead a team!! It just so happened Dj got hurt so that made it better to showcase Reed!! It’s a business and they are Clear that Rob is a lottery politics is what they are. Reed is a Shooting guard not a PG. Also if a coach give you the ball and tell you to go you will not be stop either 😂

I feel like it's a minutes issue, Wagner out before, Dillingham out before...Mitchell out now and he has 3 seven footers where HE used to play and when WE were at our best. Should have beat Kansas with Tre at the 5 but Cal loves big guys. So going forward I see issues.

@@a.fee-oh1328 UK literally has too many dudes and Cal has no idea how to allot the minutes. You can't play 10-11 in 40-minute CBB game! We had a good rotation going most of the season with the 5 guards rotating in and out and playing 24-28 minute a game and Tre/Adou/Burks etc manning the 4/5. Once the seven footers started playing it's been hodgepodge. You might play 30 mins one game, 5 the next. But the issue is UKs inability to guard anyone!!!!!!!

It a shame to read all these cry😢babies on here. Walk a mile in there shoes and listen to the stuff that you all holler then see how you all feel. I would say not good. Everyone is always putting them down when they lose. God didn’t promise everything going to be good,you have to take the good with the bad. God bless you all. Cheer for them or be quiet going on all the time Now just watch if they start playing good and winning some games. It a shame to go on about a ball game when they are so much more in your life you need to worry about. One thing getting right with our Lord and Savior before it too late,you never know when you go out and get killed in a car wreck or anything,so please think about your life and where you going after you die. More than crying and cousin at the coach and players. Like I said put there shoes on and listen to all this and see how you all would feel. Think before you speak. God bless you all. God said to pray for your enemies same as you pray for your family and everything else. You know what I pray that everyone that on here crying and going on would see or get the same treatment so they would see and feel how the team and coach feel when they see and hear all of this negative stuff. It may take a while,but some way or another you all will if you live long enough. But I would say now you all don’t like when someone hollers or post anything about you. Right.

Cal s way of getting players to the NBA is destroying uk basketball. His defensive scheme is predictable and ineffective. How do you never double team the post player and what the hell was that back door lob play. It was stupid. You go hard to the rack. Bradshaw has been crap. Yeah the metric is playing the game. If everything went to paper stats then uk would never lose. They need to go back to small ball.

Other than recruiting what does Cal do well? He plays inconsistent lineups, refuses to adjust to anything on defense, calls terrible plays, and literally does things that middle school coaches wouldn't! What did Few do today when they were up 3 and we had the ball? He fouled us! Cal had the exact same opportunity against Florida and he didn't foul, they make the game tying shot and win in OT. Cal can't even get the basics right! Didn't you even listen to the video???? Jesus man stop drinking the Kool aid

Quit watching the 'team', watch the coaches. Mark (calm, relaxed, not yelling, not running (or waddling up the line). Watch Cal, yelling, screaming, screaming at players, screaming at refs, (waddling like a fattened duck) up and down the line.

The first Oscar team also beat North Carolina in the regular season too. The guards constantly getting hurt and Shaedon Sharpe not playing really hurt that team and prevented it from seeing their full potential. And that's part of the problem with Cal, he put the NBA first with the Sharpe debacle. As long as a ton of guys get drafted off of their potential from this year's team, Cal will view it as a success, even if they flame out early in the tournament.

I've never been positive about Calipari. Now it's time to look elsewhere. Unfortunately, I don't think Calipari has ever been a great coach. We had teams of high caliber players because of tradition. Uk needs to look for another coach.

Cal has never been able to coach. Don't look at his w/l records. At UMass and Memphis he had superior talent versus others and That's what won the games. And when they got up against equal talent Cal was unmasked. Come to UK and every game is with a good team. Even the "cupcakes" are against conference contenders. Other than that one year when he did have an unbelievable team, he hasn't shown much otherwise. Maybe he should be paying back some of those millions he got? Looks like he swindled the school. We could get the same or better "success" with a 50k/yr coach. At one time coach K could have come here. Sure the fans wouldn't like it at first, but 3-4 championships at least later they'd get over it.

Everyone needs to calm down, we have a really good young team who has been injury stricken every game this season. I'm not picking sides but people need to think about what this team is, it's a freshmen heavy team without Trey Mitchell right now. (I believe we would have won today with Mitchell.) We've been playing teams with mostly 5th year transferred seniors who are at least NBA ready or should have already been in the G League or overseas by now but are playing in the NCAA. Just look at the average ages of other teams & you will see. I remember a KY team that made it to the Championship game that bandwagon fans jumped ship on before the SEC tournament 10 years ago, do you remember ? I loved that team & every KY team we've had since I was born, 1970, we've won it all 4 times & came close so many times. I love winning & hate losing but I don't give up. Even after the 9 - 16 2020/21 season I'll always BLEED BLUE ! I've lived through Rupp, Hall, Sutton, Pitino, Smith, Gillispie & now Calipari. I believe in this team & Coach Cal, I hope they can get better defensively before the NCAA tournament. We need Trey & DJ back soon, yes I know DJ played very little today but it was his 1st game back & I don't know when Trey will be back but hopefully soon. If YOU are truly BBN then you know what I'm saying, we have 8 games left in the regular season & I believe we can make a deep run in both tourney's, Go Big Blue !!!

Good for your strong fandem and that’s true loyalty however you can also see the facts and that is this is the worst mismanagement of talent in college basketball history. Expecting this team to get better is naive. That 2014 UK teams problem was shot making not defense and rebounding. Their big guys were at least somewhat skilled. We have the worst big men in the country they are uncoordinated unskilled and should just sit the bench. Coach Cal makes no adjustments and when games are tight it’s almost a certain loss. Wouldn’t be surprised one bit this team misses the tournament and or loses 1st rd. Sorry to disrupt your optimistic view

Z came from Europe and not used this style of basketball and Ugo although improved from last year his footwork still isn't nowhere close enough to keep up with skilled low post players with offensive skills. The problem is the Coach not making any adjustments to make defending any easier on them.

Cal has more talent than any other coach in Kentucky history. 7 NBA All-Stars right now and only 1 national title show for it a dozen years ago. There have been 7 Coaches at Kentucky and 5 of them have National titles. At this point not only was Rupp a better coach than Cal, but so was Joe B Hall, Rick Pitino and even Tubby.
