As a diehard fan, you should have serious concerns. That was a terribly sloppy/tight 4th Q even for an average team...not the kind of play you want to see from the #1 team in the nation.

Boston doesn’t guard those type of players well one one. She normally catches that type of player after they’ve Already made there moves and passed initial defense. Edwards can really move and hit the 3 consistently

OK! Each conference has their tournament. This was the S.E.C. tournament and all teams play until we have a winner. In this case it is Kentucky! Now, it's time for the women's national tournament. They pick the best teams and they play and advance until they have a winner. South Carolina is in and should win it all! The final 4 happens when there are 4 teams are left. Good luck!

No it's not! It takes the right combination of players AND coaches. I put emphasis on that coach part too. There's a rapport that needs to exist between players and coaches on and off the coach that a lot of teams don't have. Can't describe it in words, but shows in gameplay and style. That applies at all levels.

@@joldschool64 They may have their minds there, but they still gotta go over film. When they did they will see that Boston did travel under the basket more than once. No shade. Just is what it is. It's no different than how some guards get away with pushing off. On that one play though, I know the red saw her travel and maybe even be in the lane longer than she should have been.

@@Okayyouwin UConn has a great winning tradition, unfortunately YES I'm SICK of them too, I'm a Tennessee Vols fan, sadly we lost the world's GREATEST coach in Womens College Basketball, Pat Summit, who also had a winning tradition until she was force to retire due to her illness. With all DUE respect to Coach Gino, I would LOVE to see , would UConn win at the pace they has under a NEW coach, Tennessee aren't doing bad with Kelly Harper but look at the struggles they have gone through since the years of coach Summit. .

I think the Championship is going to be an upset by one of the teams that has a 3 point threat, because South Carolina isn't a 3 point shooting team, and I think its going to be like last year, no one expected Arizona to be in the Championship game, I don't Carolina is going to pull it off.

Congratulations to the lady wildcats and coach Kyra Elzy. I remember her playing days with the Bols at Hyper. Hopefully the sting of this loss will stick with them & help them to stay focus & play their best ball. Remembering that every team has a weakness and any team can be beaten any given night. Hopefully this will be our last loss of the season so our lady Gamecocks will be tearing down the final nets of the season.

@@GamecockSteve Womens basketball is more competitive than it used to be. But I do think the Gamecocks have a great chance to win. I think the two top teams in each power 5 conference has a legitimate chance of winning so I feel that we have a great chance.

Tough loss … this one will sting. I hope they can close some gaps they have going into the tourney: turnovers, finishing at the hoop and need to get the ball underneath to Boston. I will be rooting for them!

At least they scored some baskets in the 4th qtr of this game, well at the start of, last game no basket in the forth qtr. so here we go the big dance time. The last game of the year is only game that really counts anyway, so Kentucky beating #2, #3 and #1 seeds plus Mississippi state in four days congratulations they earned SEC Tournament Championship, but like I said on to the big dance for us.

I'm gonna get blowback from SC fans about this but I'm just being objective . And I'm a South Carolina fan but any coach would love to have the luxury that Staley has .she has about 9 players deep use them! Littleton. Russell . Hall and others are all capable scorers and defenders ..Rick Pitino used to rotate like that it could be done ! It would make it hard to scout ..heck now the other teams scouting report is just saying Boston and Boston and Boston .it can't be about her all the time too much forced play!! And please someone show cordosa how to take a short range shot! Or a jump hook or something ! Shes open too much in the paint .and I've been saying this for awhile it's gonna be a ton of upsets this tournament it's too many good players on good teams that are not in the media and that is not scared of the name on your chest so get ur popcorn ready !

Cook turns the ball over too much not a good ball handler and LA she made some bad shot selection .SC play better when they have a big lead they panic when the game is close.

@@joldschool64 I'm a cook fan shes from my hometown and I agree but they all turn the ball over due to forced play why in the heck if u have a open look in the paint or a ten or fifteen footer why not take the shot dang ur a basketball player u didn't get to this level by not taking a pull up mid range jumper at some point .but instead they drive to the hoop in traffic to force play either get it blocked or get it stolen and all whose gonna respond and say they are trying to get to the free throw line I suggest u look up sc free throw percentage as a team

@@anthonytaylor7928 I agree, I'm a South Carolina fan, but I don't think they can win the NCAA championship playing the way they play. They will lose to smart teams like Stanford and Connecticut. The backcourt is too small. Coach Staley mentioned during the game that the team plays too fast for their skill level. They need to try to develop Cardoso as quickly as possible. They need to give her the ball. Over penetration, turnovers, shot selection is killing them. Cook needs to let the game come to her. She needs to realize that Boston is the go to player. Its good to see Beale and Saxton step up more offensively. I don't know why Littleton and LeLe aren't playing more. Hall can play and Russell looks good when she gets to play. If they play the Huskies, they need LeLe to cover Paige.

Ultimately, it was Cookies missed free throws that lost them the game. It always comes down to the free throws.

Idk. Kentucky may have pulled it out in OT. We’ll never know. Fantastic game between the two, however. The game was great for WBB in that we need more parody in the sport. Games have become blowouts too often, and this game was a thriller!

Yes you are Right. Kentucky Mens Team lost to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament 2012 Season then went on to Win The NCAA tournament!

When they played Ole Miss the day before, she was screwing up and Staley kept her out of the game . Staley should of kept her on the bench again for this game right here.
