I started playing on leather heads (calf head) many years ago because of my hero Gene Krupa and Slingerland was the last company that sold them. They sound great but are definitely subject to temperature/moisture . I would really like to try these out. Thanks !!

These heads are incredible. It does take a little getting used to especially if you’re playing it in different locations (temperature), but with a little care it will last you at least a decade.

Oh I believe that for sure. Mine lasted a really long time. The tuning and temp thing just makes you get better with your drum key LOL but I think well worth it.@@LuvskiDrums

Sounds awesome. Do you detune your snare when not playing or just leave it at tension?

This snare doesn’t leave my studio so I leave it as is. I find that they do take a while to settle in when new, so initially you have to tune them regularly.
