That head sounds amazing at all tuning ranges. I love the earthy dryness.

They still make calf & goatskin heads for rope tension drums. Might get one of these kangaroo heads for my favourite snare, special use. Like, once in a blue moon.

Would be interesting to hear it on a Vintage Kit with Rounded (if not 30 degrees) bearing edge

First time I've seen an animal hide-head in use.. Definitely sounds different in a cool way from all other heads I've heard and it looks great too!

High tuning sounds the best . Very interesting review . Another plus don't have to worry about stick marks.

Low tuning was nasty tbh. Brushes were good though definitely.

I'm a fan of the idea and the sound but at $160 Canadian this head is unfortunately not a realistic option.

Look at the camera or a person. Never look at a camera that isn’t being shown for that “behind the scenes look.” I know everyone does it. But stop. It’s dumb. Carson Daly did it first. Do you really want to be like him? I can answer that for you. No.
