I just put the original globs that srew in back in looks mint i prefer the original clour but everyones different choice i purches the oringanal globs as nos and have enough to last forever 73s

You can also take a sharpie marker and write a black dot on the center of the led to kill the hot spot on the meter display.

Thanks Fred I will try it next time i have the radio open. The bright spot appears worse on the video than in real life or I've gotten use to it.

Hi i know tis video is 4 years ago the pilot lights are 12v 40mv if you look in the manual so should be easy to get them

@@petermiles6557 Peter I'm sorry but I think the end result looks terrible. I'm going with two 16V warm white 3mm incandescent "grain of wheat" bulbs in series available from eBay. $8.89 for ten units. I may have to replace them again someday but I believe the end result will look much better (like the original).

Ha ha I like a man that speaks his mind and I understand what your saying, however apart from the lamp life I like the sharper light from LEDs and it may be just perception, but it seems the metering display is much clearer for me and my aging eyes.
