That's one heck of a rig ! I know it's too early for the reviews to come in but sure looks like a winner.... For those who are gasping at it's price what did you think it was going to cost ? Is it true that the second receiver sounds better than the main receiver? I heard that they put the 590's receiver in the second receiver and the main receiver doesn't sound as good I just thought I'd ask that's what I've been hearing.

There's no mistaking the GigaParts tape on the box (around 1:05)!

Just purchased this monstrosity. Yet I still think it's a Baby. You know, kind of like we name our classic cars........ She is a beauty ! ! ! ! Why is it that all physical goodies are articulated as she, babe, or yum yum?? I really don't think I need to explain it! You really should have put more demos on your page..................

Well was expecting (at least) 3K wide for TX , and 6K wide for RX like in ts 870s. Looks like Kenwood didn't even think about Hi Fi SSB fans.

I am giving this rig some serious attention now, what if any short commings ?? and or things that could be better and how would you say it stacks up against the IC7800 forgetting the $ tag of both. are you talking bandwith of total? bottom to top. I think they are from 200 to 3K or something like that. I only use about 300 to 1800

do ham operators still have those huge horizontal outside antenna ? or is there more visually friendly antennas if anyone knows? thanks
