Girls Trip and some other really hilarious movies really reminded me of the importance of great comedies. Jimmy's all pumped up about a great new comedy ... I am too. On a related note - seeing a comedy in a theater with others around you, laughing and having a great atmosphere - can't beat that, man. Can't get that at home.

Actually, the '39 version was a remake. Everyone involved gave their all, taking all sorts of incredible risks, making unbelievable sacrifices & creating a very impressive production.

@laustcawz2089 I know The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz but it wasn't a Musical it was a silent movie black and white of course 1910 Totally different I wouldn't call it a remake and the stage play 1902 The Wizard Of Oz was mainly about the Wicked Witch probably where they got the idea for Wicked there is not much I don't know about this move

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it if the original is a book or a play, like Dune and West Side Story. I think it’s annoying when it’s a reboot of a originally show or movie. Books and plays are meant to be interpreted and understood in different ways so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them reimagining the Wizard of Oz.

Why? Creativity is creativity. Don't like it, don't watch it. Stories are told and retold through the ages. We just do it in video form now, rather than orally or in written form. Wicked is brilliant, and it is a remake. This jew one may be as fabulous, or it may miss. But it is valid, and should be supported.

You People ended up being a wildly entertaining and well executed film; the comedy, drama, social commentary, cast, writing, and directing was on point and well developed for the most part. I was a lil worried this movie was going to be like a copy of Guess Who based off trailer clips but it ended up being its own thing entirely

I'm looking forward to "You People" for fun, comedic entertainment, and I'm sure JLD and Eddie kill it. But please no musical of the Wizard of Oz. It's been done. It's called The Wiz. If you must adapt it again, do something very different and we don't need singing.

Not a fan of the GD's in movies. I know it's a Hollywood thing cause religion is frowned upon. Then teens/ young adults hear GD and think it's cool and then everyone is saying GD .
