On the mineral extraction issue DH raised, I understand the reason why during the Biafra war, both the West & East weirdly supported Nigeria against Biafra, was because Ojukwu wanted more accountability from Shell on oil exports. For scholars of Cold war, you'll know that most civil wars in the 1950s, '60s, '70s & even '80s were typically split down to East/West i.e. Iron curtain, divide, however, in Nigeria's case the Soviet Union supplied the MiGs, which the West paid for, and Egyptians flew to bomb the living day lights out of Biafrians.

David Hundeyin has such a powerful presence and I think it isn’t spoken about enough. His level of intellectual depth and articulation need to be lauded and studied. He remains one of the very few Nigerians within the Nigerian social space I view with respect, integrity and sincerity. The interviewer on the other hand has a lot of growing to do in relations to his intellectual maturity and insight, especially in topics like politics, religion, and culture in general. I admire Hundeyin's inquisitive mentality.I left lekki toll gate during that end SARS protest when I noticed it became like a pleasure gathering instead of a gathering of angry citizens who wanted a change.I spoke against it and I was hated by many but I understood then that the common person had no interest in that protest but the elite celebrities who were part directly or indirectly of our woes as a nation.

Truth of the matter is Kenyans are more educated than Nigerians. That's one factor that everyone misses about the Kenyan protest. They are far educated. Check their literacy rate. There was an international news agency that covered Kenyans for their ability to do ghostwriting research for university students across the globe. Kenyans are very enlightened but suffers similar factors in Sub-Saharan of underemployment, unemployment, and host of other issues. So it was easier for them to understand the finance bill and act swiftly.

It was more of a mobilization to the grassroots level..We used translators to translate the bill into local languages so that even the common man in the village and also the old who don't understand English could be able to understand what it involved. The whole thing was more strategic than most people would want to put out there. It was not as organic as people think.

I give kudos to Kenyans. Understanding that finance bill spurred many to act and each, old, young, clergies etc. supported the protest. The bravery of the Gen Z in Kenya is admirable. In Nigeria majority are nonchalant, will complain online and continue suffering and smiling. They're waiting for who will lead and looking for a messiah. They ask you, why not lead? Can you die for Nigeria? And blah blah blah. But people are dying every day as a result of evil leadership of politicians in elected and appointed offices, weak institutions. Even if you cone out lead, they will attack your tribe, then religion and then discredit you. Nigeria is complicated for the worse. Both our elders, super rich pastors and imams, judiciary judges, all in bed with evil politicians. This is what the Kenyans are able to look past and majority of voices overshadowed those who support bad policies. It is opposite in Nigeria.

Thank you for the interview. One advice, though. When you do interviews, just talk less. You know David has a commanding followership, and people want to hear his views. Don't overshadow your guests. You invited them for a reason. You can make the interview conversational, but don't try to constantly interrupt and then dominate the conversation. Just have your questions, and give them time to respond. My opinion. Thank you.

Much as I appreciate what David Hundeyin says herei feel like most young African peoples who have no understanding of the importance of culture and civilizational worldviews to development.history is crucial which slavery colonization and neocolonization has virtually destroyed.look at Asia where each country is unique but here the mindset is to herd indegenous African peoples are lumped.

"The air transport infrastructure is prohibitively expensive"; sadly so true. I was amazed when my bro proved to me that it is more expensive to travel by air from Lagos to Porth Harcourt(converting naira to its dollar or Euro equivalent) than from UK to France. He did it by attempting to book flights for both routes.
