I agree that structured public participation, with a clear schedule and published dates, as well as requirements to publish data in a digestible format, would be a helpful outcome of current events. This should be enshrined in law.

I firmly believe that the root cause of the current challenges lies in the lack of meaningful public participation. Although MPs are elected to represent the interests of local area residents in Parliament, the absence of a structured communication system between them creates a significant gap. To address this, the President should introduce a bill that establishes a formal public participation framework in the central government and the local government levels. This would enable more effective communication between constituents and their representatives, ultimately leading to better governance and reducing the current discontent.

Kenya has good brains but the executive has always believed they override everyone else's opinion and the one we have at the moment is good at that.The fact that he is still making new promises there is nothing he has learnt yet.He still went to church and the greedy men in collar still laughed their way to the bank.

In US our representatives reach out to the citizens in their areas to attend meeting and discuss changes in legislations that affect them. Citizens can call their offices anytime to express concerns..

Bichache argument is unreasonable. Management of affairs take time to build. The notion the public can manage from the streets is a dummy idea. That's why we have time frame of five years.

We have responsibility and consequences in every area in life except in politics. Why do humans turn to something else when they are politicians? In every other area in life there is responsibility and consequences connected. The reason the humans are flawed so the consequences help them to fulfill the responsibility
