At least you know where it comes from. With her process it's not sanitary. With human hair when it's going through the processing you should see the amount of cleansing with chemicals is done to get the hair ready to sell. I didn't even know the process was so long to get the hair ready.

@@cristyluv1205 I am sure that even in rich countries, there are segments of the population that seek the cheapest haircare options. She was washing it, then she rinses them, which the rinse water was cleaner than the washing water, it is obvious the western world dont get to see how dirty their underwears are in the wash cycle, they only see when it becomes clean. One day I admonish most of you on here to soak your dirty laundry in your bathtub, fill it up with water, and let them soak, you will see all the dirt coming out of your dirty clothes. Plus, those 100 % weaves you wear, they have to wash them 2 to 3 times before they are actually clean to be sold., the same thing this woman is doing, she is doing the same thing what your har provider does, only on a more humbling scale.. I wish her the best.. Hair is a big industry, and countries like Africa is a huge market for second-hand goods. Im sure no one will get AIDS from a worn wig, so you people need to lighten it up!

Lice feed on blood of scalp, but attach to hair, and lay thier eggs and attach them to the hair shafts. So everyone trying to silence this very valid question should take heed. You're not only at risk of lice, but any other type of fungal or bacterial infection the previous wearer had, such as deep staph infection of the scalp, resembling hidradenitis suppurateva. And the fact that the water she was using was murky brown, is obvious evidence of that. I wouldn't be so alarmed had she washed the hair better, using a detergent and sanitized the hair, and then rinsed until the water was clear, but that was just disgusting. When I take my braids out, the water doesn't even come out this color....just yucky!!!
