Welcome back to the "Kenya Virtual Birding Tours" series. The phenomenal Kinangop Plateau is an Important Bird Area (IBA) in the Central Kenyan Highlands. In this episode, we look at some of the woodland and farmland birds that call Kinangop home.
* Correction:- The Yellow Bishop has a yellow back and rump, the mantle is black on the upper limit, with just a tiny amount of yellow on the lower mantle boundary in full breeding male plumage.

Thank you for some more armchair birding. I have visited Kenya a few times and could hear the Montane Nightjar, so actually seeing it was marvelous!

Thanks. Came across this today and watched a couple of other clips. Good job. I am a new entrant in bird watching and the interest came from birds that wake me up in the morning where on searching I found the one with the biggest call to be black capped bulbul. It has also aroused my interest in birds I saw as a young boy in Nyeri and have been wondering the names of some of the birds I knew in kikuyu (Thuriu, Thonjo( I guess weaver bird), Kanyoni ka nja (Flinch?) and Muthu. If anyone knows the names please help me.

Thanks. Had guessed the Mousebird. together with the bulbul, they like snacking on my guavas from my giant guava tree. Of course I will share your channel and congrats for this local.
