President William Ruto bowed to pressure and decided to withdraw the punitive finance bill that led Kenyans to protest. Unfortunately, this comes after several people were killed and others injured by the police. Why did the president ignore Kenyans until others died? The deputy president dressed down the National Intelligence service in public, why now? Kenyans feel there is some progress in their fight for good governance. Is this the turning point for Kenya?

Ruto is nothing but a political operative. Hio tuu. Even his so-called education was just forced on him by a lenient Uhuru giving him time away from duties as a VP to attend some classes at UoN and get some academic papers. He is no scholar and was not even a good student. Ruto is just a political operative who should never have risen higher than the Chief of Staff of a true politician or statesman! He knows NOTHING else. To allow him to be a Head of State and try to govern a nation like Kenya was a tragic mistake. It should NEVER EVER HAPPEN AGAIN.

@pchab1966 I totally disagree with you on the issue of his education. I don't think that there's anyone who can force a 50+ years man to achieve a doctorate. Roto is one among the most educated presidents in the history of Africa. On matters presidency, as a Christian, I truly believe that a leader is appointed by God and thus God never made a mistake, whether he will perform or not, God is our source of everything.

As per the LAW, Ruto can not say that he has withdrawn the bill. The word withdrawn is not in the constitution as to regards to the financial bill which is the animal in the house. The 195 guys who said yes are in recess and therefore, if they are not available before 14 days, KWISHA AND IT BECOMES THE LAW. Watu wamechezwa hapa duu!

Then they will tell South Africans they took a calculated decision to come to South Africa and if South Africans want to go back and stay in Zimbabwe they can do so just like they came to South Africa. But they voted for the government that starve them and run away with their 5 children who deprive our children quality education in South African public schools . I am told they want Botswana to give them entry with just identity books. The question is why the government of Zimbabwe allow their people to make so many babies and they can take care of them. Any Zimbabwean especially Shona who are abroad must be restricted to one children.

@inelengmurkett8293 I don’t think all the presidents of Zimbabwe have a problem . The voters who happen to be Shona are problematic to the issue of Zimbabwe. I am saying this not to divide Zimbabwe but the truth is the Shonas are way better off than other tribes. All best jobs are reserved for them every time they vote a Shona president .

Wakili Kinuthia. My thinking is that their are clear distinctions,between the following: a) Governments. b) Administrations. As I understand it; Givernments are in perpetuity, and only administrations change. So when people say " Rutos government" and you repeatedly talk of " removing this government"; I respectfully submit both are erroneous statements. In our case Ruto , his DP and even his ministers, can be constitutionally forced out of office; and their would still be a government in place. Why do I say so? The executive and cabinet, constitute the mist visible part of government, but are certainly not the whole. My point? Anarchy need not ensue, simply because the president has fled SH and subsequently resigned. Other arms of government wouid still be intact and functional. Ie The Civil service, the judiciary and the legislature. It is only in Africa where too much premium is placed on the executive. Hence the ridiculous title of " his excellency" . And I do of course stand corrected by you.
