They need to also suspend most of the domestic travel which consumes even more revenues. Many government officials travel to places like Mombasa and Naivasha in the name of work only to go there to enjoy themselves. The big question however is whether these directives will be adhered to. What is the point of providing for such wasteful spending in the budget then coming up with such impotent directives?. This can only make sense if a supplementary budget is passed to scrap the supporting budgetary provisions.
