@@sheriakwaraiaThere were very sound reasons why in drafting the 2010 constitution, it was decided to keep the President, his Deputy and CSs out of constituency and regional politics. It was considered that under the old constitution, they would favour their constituencies above the other constituencies while allocating resources. The question remains open whether they gave developed a more national view or not, with Rigathi constantly behaving as if he is the DP of Mt. Kenya.

He/she suggested that they should be ekect d MPs (as it used to be under the old constitution). Remember that Jomo Kenyatta, Oginga Odinga, Murumbi, Moi, Kibaki, Karanja, Saitoti were all MPs while they occupied the seat of President/Vice President
