Yesterday, during the interview, the president appeared to be very pissed off and bitter for having been forced to pull off the bill. He did not show remorse or empathy. He did not offer any condolences to those that lost life, those who lost their children, brothers and sisters. He did not offer condolences to the nation. He did not say am sorry. He appeared tone deaf. We’re hurting for crying out loud!!! Another thing was that the president was so defensive. It was so clear to me that he was on the side of the police no matter what. He was given so many opportunities to show leadership, to be the peacemaker and bring people together but he did not take that opportunity. In my opinion the president should have called for a day of mourning. I think the President should resign and let the Kenyans get someone who is able to identify with their plight.
