Im afraid that lighter rug won’t be practical for the kids and pets. Don’t layer. You can hardly see the vintage one. Maybe order a vintage one withe the colors you need.

I love this makeover! The space is beautiful. Also liked how you showed the whole rug situation and comparisons. I like both, but prefer the lighter option. Brills how you improvised and used both instead of thinking the smaller wasn't an option. And...flat iron for the win! (Great tip!) That is so beautiful!!!! My favorite part is the antique table and chairs. I’m 59 years old and just redid my child’s rocker that my grandma gave me for my first birthday. It’s in my living room for my young grandkids. 🥰

I like the second rug you put on top of the other one. It made the space seem bigger. Because it was a lighter color. I love the sofa. But it’s really long. I’m going to measure my sofa and see if one that size would even fit in my living room. My husband hates the sofa I bought. He says it’s too narrow. It’s because the back cushions are really full. I can sleep on it, without a problem.

Hi Kenzie!!!!! I LOVE how the space turned out! I remember last year when you decluttered your whole home and you had freshened up that space. I thought it was so cute for your kids back then. What you have done now just looks like another incredible space that you both have transformed and it is just amazing. I tell you what... I think you 3 girls that I love soooo much (You, Evelyn, and Jenna) could publish your own collaborative coffee table book with all of your incredible talents with DIY's and room transformations. I personally like both rugs and they both compliment the space. So, I think you are good with either one. They each give just a different take on the room and the way it feels. We trade ours out every once and a while - just like we do with our pillow covers and throw blankets. Which is the best of both worlds! I love the black cabinet and the frames you put around it. i wish you could see the true color on camera! it is so pretty but definitely shows up more grey/black on camera, it’s a lot more blue in person! but i agree i love the contrast it brings!! 🫶🏼☺️

I like both but the plaid one is better and I like how you layer them - good idea. The room looks great and I love the table set for the children and the story behind it!!

I like the plaid rug since your loft is a more casual space. So, that being said....you can ship me the original rug because it would look great in my family room! 😂

I loved the first rug and then you added the plaid rug and it gave a whole new vibe. I think I like the plaid rug best for organic modern. The traditional rug gave a nice transitional vibe. It may be a headache to keep the plaid rug clean though

yes you are SPOT on with this. i totally agree with you. i’ve been leaning towards more organic modern lately so i think that’s why i like the plaid rug 🤍 both are beautiful just two different styles ☺️🫶🏼

The vintage rug adds more texture in the space and will be more forgiving in terms of maintenance.
