Today I was on the bus going home from school listening to a random Spotify playlist with my friend. I had one headphone and she had the other. we were sharing a bag of gummy worms from the vending machine and then this song came on. We looked at eachother and couldn’t stop smiling at the coincidence. This definitely made my day. Nostalgia is the best and worst at the same time. It’s funny how time flies, isn’t it?

I think one of the best parts about this is that the ‘Cool Kids’ don’t exactly seem mean, they genuinely looked like they wanted to be her friend. It’s not like other things where the ‘Cool Kids’ are complete jerks, she just had a better dynamic with her other friend than she did with the ‘Cool Kids’ and I think that’s cool that they weren’t painted as bullies. All in all, I love this video and the cover

I remembered being like 8 years old and being rejected by literally every social group I wanted to fit in. The popular girls of my school would say to me "you are not like us", the guys that liked anime and videogames would get me looking ridiculous by my ignorance of Pokemon and everyone else just didn't mind my existence. I was completely alone, never having solid friends. And when I found a best friend, she changed me two years later... for the cool kids. I really don't know what's wrong with me that people just don't want to stay by my side. Is it my smile? Is it that I'm not sexy enough? is it that now I just talk about rock and roll, Zelda, books and philosophy? I am so exhausted of being hated.

Nothing is wrong with you. you are yourself and you're doing yourself a favor by being yourself and not someone else. When you do find someone who is like you it will be a friendship that will be better then anything those cool kids will have (Just so you know I think philosophy, video game culture, reading and music is some of the coolest things. Letting you know so that you don't think you're weird for liking that kinda stuff)

If people don't want to be friends with you, then that's their fault for not getting to know you! I'm the same type of person (total outcast) but I really don't care. I have two best friends that are more then enough for me! You just need to find those people who are willing to accept you as you and don't try and change yourself for anybody! Even if you have troubles, always be true to yourself....it sounds cliche but it really is true....

My story is so different. I was a "cool kid" but never really hung out with the cool kids. I hang out mostly with this one alone kid who was always reading. We had the same interests. I could hang out with whoever i wanted to, cool or not, but I always hung out with that one kid. 3 years later, I'm in middle school, and the funny thing is that all the cool kids have started "smoking smarties (candy) or snorting them. Some are bullies. Cool kids often become bad people. One does it, the rest think he's cool, and do it and so on and so forth. I still text with that kid. Never really stopped talking to him.
