i think for the earlier era like wadada and up, they put xiaoting more on dancing because she’s still learning korean. but if you look at her line distribution in galileo or kep1er’s cover of snsd mr. mr., you can see they gave her more vocal parts.

She was #1 on the entirely 999 show for a reason, she can dance, sing, rap and be visual, just because she wasn't Korean did not win the show, but that's history.

actually her not being korean helped her bcs since voting for a trainee of every group was obligatory and she was the most well known trainee in c group, a lot of kfans who didn't have a c pick voted for her by default, that's why her ranking fell when the voting stopped demanding picks from every group!

Can I also mention! In the past, Xiaoting was on a Chinese idol show can Chaung2020 where she was put in a special team of trainees who were too shy/holding back. They were practicing for this song, but she got eliminated before she could perform it on the show. This made me think of that, it's cool to see her perform it now.

i watched that show, it looks too biased to the point where all trainees who doesn't being mentors or producers favorite really fighting for her life, they even have no screentime to show off their skill, they can win if only they're being favorite or famous

she’s already 24. by the time the contract ends she’ll be far too “old” to debut in a group. i don’t agree w that cause in my eyes she’s still a young woman but showbiz is ageist, especially towards women. she’ll probably go back to china and all the power to her, she can make bank there, especially w her dance skills! it’s nice to be hopeful but be realistic.

@@iloveminjeong01 1. that’s not common, irene is an obvious and the ONLY outlier. 2. she’s not big in korea nor is korean, so that will lessen the minuscule chance she had to debut under sm, if there was one. 3. she’s not even signed to sm, so once again, let’s be realistic. i can’t believe i had to spell it out for you.

this girl is a diamond in idols world. i wish wk1 hasn't mistreated her from beginning with how little lines she had, and from their journey until now, i never see shen xiao ting do mistake at stage, i see others members falling from stage or on stage because of how harsh wk1 forcing them on their activities. but shen xiao ting is standing stable with even doing some dangerous dancing move on stage. she is a professional dancer, has goddess visual and now she proves her vocal. she would be so successful if other korean company take her under their wings.

I am so pissed that they have suppressed her for so long. she deserves a Much better career than now, and a Better agency. This video has been out for 13 days and only 141k views? I have seen much lesser talented idols get 10X the views simply because of their hype. She is proving her vocals here, and don't forget she is the undisputed visual, and then can you forget her Dancing? literally world class ballroom dancer and she showed it for all to see last year. One after another. If she doesnt have vocals, she has dance. If she doesnt have dance, she has visual. Most idols only have 1 or 2. Let her go, and allow her the career she deserves please. She doesnt deserve to waste her youth wasting in some half assed effort company with music that is one worse than the other.
