That logic kinda fails since, well... this is a game, it's not fully realistic. The game doesn't consider The Sun as being made of plasma, and Jool probably is not affected since it has a unique appearance in the map. But it was technically destroyed anyway

@@bottinator22 Yeah, but when Kerbin is destroyed the atmosphere remains. That's what makes the blue halos and other weird occurrences. On a "code" standpoint it probably forces the game to stop rendering what is categorised as "ground", leading to no effect being had on Jool as there is no real "ground" there.

@@clem-lv2rw Jool's graphic isn't its atmosphere tho, it looks like it's the atmosphere but from a code standpoint that'd be too much work to make Jool render as an atmosphere instead of ground. The "atmosphere" that remains after a planet is destroyed is what's supposed to look like its atmosphere. There is ground on Jool, it's needed to prevent weirdness with the atmosphere graphic, and such weirdness is seen when you destroy a planet

There are, however, ways to "bend" the rules and bypass this- including traveling through a different medium such as water, or theoretically warping space around you to more or less push you forward...

bowser jr Warp drives don't make you go faster than light. Its relative speed. They also just bend space around them. That's not going faster than light.

William Gilbert If you reach a destination faster than light would have made it, then you have traveled faster than light. You can't invoke relative speed when relativity itself is bent in this example. This is also purely theoretical so neither of us have any proof to back up our claims- it's all just words on paper until proven wrong.
